There’s A Little More Content On Japan’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution Discs

Japan doesn’t have to wait too long for Deus Ex: Human Revolution or simply Deus Ex as its known in the region. Square Enix set September 8 as the game release date, two weeks after it lands in North America.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be fully localized with Japanese text and voiceovers. The PlayStation 3 version also includes English voice acting, which can be selected via a menu option.

Another bonus is the Japanese version includes downloadable pre-order content from North America and Europe on disc. Square Enix didn’t specify which bonuses, though. Gamestop is offering an explosive mission pack, which has a new mission with a Deus Ex cameo character. The package also includes a Linebacker G-87 multiple-shot grenade launcher, M-28 remote-detonated explosive device, and an automated unlocking device. Other retailers have a tactical pack, which includes a Huntsman Silverback double-barrel shotgun, Longsword Whisperhead Extreme Range sniper rifle, and extra credits.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution costs 7,980 yen ($99), quite a bit more than the $59.99 price point in North America. Speaking of North America, here’s a video of the developers at Eidos Montreal explaining the game’s world.

amazing O_O this is how you do it. every game should have all content DAY 1.

though im buying the augmented edition since i have very few LE games(damn you gamestop for not giving me the LE of Peace Walker and MGS4!!!!!)

cannot wait for this, hopefully this sells well there to encourage more people buying this kinds of games.

seriously how can you hate a Ghost in The Shell X Blade Runner with a little Matrix vibe :P

Before anyone thinks of importing, I should point out that while Deus Ex: Human Revolution has two voice tracks on PS3, the game only has Japanese text.

Just a heads up everyone :)

lol.. too busy at the moment, need to finish Xenoblade before Sept.. and I just started Pandora’s Tower (quite good, but I wonder if there’s an option to invert the y-axis aiming.. really not used to normal).. and Steins;Gate spin-off and Chaos Head..

The Jpn seiyuu cast is cool, I alrdy pre-ordered the Jpn ver of Uncharted 3 (it’s only 6000 yen, though exchange rate now is not good), but for Deus Ex, if it’s only Jpn text and that expensive I might wait.. I imported Heavenly Sword before for the sexy cover :), there was dual track but only Jpn text, but it was worth it (I got that on sale before for $40, so it was cheaper than the US ver at the time).

        you should :P

Deus EX HR and Uncharted 3 will be amazing O_O

Squenix is really going for the hard sell, uh? Even though I can’t see many people in Japan being interested in this game. But if it reached 200k copies combined, that would already be an accomplishment.

I will probably buy it for PC… but I’ll be very busy at the end of the summer, so I’ll wait for a price drop later on.

I’m really excited for the game. A certain video game “forum” got me hyped up for this entry into the series, haha.

wow Dual voice! now i am hope they could include Dual voice in their western release of japanese game too!

and dlc on disc is cool, i am getting sick of all this “retailer exclusive” or “day one dlc” why can’t they just insert that stuff in on disc(-_-)

    • Hraesvelgr

Definitely agree about retailer exclusive and day one DLC BS, especially when devs lie about having made the content before, cut it for various reasons and then didn’t have time to add it back, so it became day one DLC.

I dislike store-specific DLC the most.. makes you choose where to get the game and you can’t have all of them.. if they were to at least sell it on PSN or Live marketplace 6 months or 1 yr later, it would be nice.. like I didn’t get Enslaved from Best Buy, but I really want to get the Trip robot skin DLC and there’s no way to get it (sometimes it would turn up on ebay but not for cheap).
