Starting with Shadows of the Damned, Sega will act as a distributor for Electronic Arts titles in Japan. The two companies signed an agreement, which will have Sega distribute EA’s games beginning in August.
The two companies have come a long way from when Electronic Arts released unlicensed Genesis cartridges in North America. Sega has similar distribution deals with Japanese publishers including Alchemist, Codemasters, Cyberfront, and Arc System Works.
Shadows of the Damned comes out in Japan on September 22. Electronic Arts also plans on releasing FIFA and Battlefield 3 in the region.
