A Glimpse At New Skills For The Knight And Wizard In Trine 2

Just as they promised, Frozenbyte are giving the character classes in Trine 2 new skills. One of these for the knight, Pontius, is a Hammer Throw skill:

The Wizard has a new skill, too — he can levitate enemies. This is nice, considering the Wizard was pretty vulnerable in the original game:

Amongst new skills, Trine 2 has a new save system that lets you quit and pick up from exactly where you left off. You’ll also be able to backtrack to older areas and explore them with new abilities, and Frozenbyte have hinted at multiple co-op modes.

Frozenbyte and Atlus haven’t announced a release date for the game, but Trine 2 is still due out sometime this year.

The wizard did desperately need some way to attack enemies.

Agreed, and this seems like a reasonable way to let him defend himself without encroaching too much on the other characters’ territory (since the Wizard was pretty much the ‘go-to’ guy for most of the puzzles.).  I’m not sure why they keep showing us how ‘cool’ it is to levitate corpses though.  Doesn’t seem like that has much use.
