Black Rock Shooter: The Game developer Imageepoch has ten titles in development. The news comes from a Famitsu interview snippet with Ryoei Mikage, CEO of Imageepoch. Mikage also reminded the magazine that games for HD consoles are in the works too.

Out of all the games, their upcoming Type-Moon title may be the biggest. Mikage said they are investing over 1 billion yen ($12 million) on the Type-Moon collaboration. Their first Type-Moon project was Fate/Extra, which Aksys will release later this year. Imageepoch also has 7th Dragon 2020, which Sega will publish in Japan on their slate during the fall.

In the future, Imageepoch will release Chevalier Saga Tactics, a simulation RPG, a new game with a famous RPG creator, and a title that turns an established series into a RPG. Black Rock Shooter: The Game, which is developed by the Last Ranker team, is Imageepoch’s next title and it comes out on August 25.

    I can’t wait to find out what the next Type-Moon x Imageepoch-game is! :D

    • Exkaiser

      Kara no Kyoukai/Extra.

      Tsukihime 2

It’s done by the Last Ranker team? Sure hope I don’t need to deal with quest NPCs the same way I did in LR. That was totally annoying.

Hopefully it’s better than Last Ranker. I liked the idea, the character designs and the music.

The game itself wasn’t so hot in my opinion.

At least it’s better than Tales of the Last Promise

Hope they don’t over do it by having so many hands in the kitchen that the recipe turns out bland…

Hopefully it’ll be on the PS3/X360 and will be brought to USA.

    • Hraesvelgr

Since so many publishers are starting to give up on the PSP outside of Japan, I’m inclined to agree.

    • Exkaiser

Type-Moon RPG? Brought to America? Ha, as i-

      …Oh, right.

The 12 mln one must definitely be either for PS Vita or the HD consoles. No way that could be for PSP or the other systems, and I imagine it must be an AAA title at that cost, Im excited.

    • LynxAmali

PSP’s still big in Japan. I wouldn’t suprised if it was a PSP title. I don’t see why people want everything to be on consoles.

I think you missed Tsuna’s other point in that comment about cost unless you know of other games for the PSP that costs over $10 million dollars.

        • Exkaiser

I’m going to hazard a guess that games like Peace Walker and Final Fantasy Type-0 had production costs of over 1 billion yen.

        • lostinblue

Top range PS2 titles costed 30 million to make, 10 million for the top range PSP games doesn’t seem that much.

For this situation we would be in a bad position if it was on PSP considering publishing partner NISA won’t touch an Imageepoch title otherwise.

      • HarryHodd

I dont see why everybody wants all JRPGs on handhelds.

“…games for HD consoles are in the works too.”

Looks like NISA has no choice but to localize now.  I”m assuming the first one might be Chevalier…

  • AzureNova

NISA I beg thee for all of the above! >_< If not, then Black Rock Shooter and Fate Stay are just fine too. =P

    • Zero_Destiny

Fate/Extra? If so did you not see that Akyss is localizing that game? It’ll be out next year. No need for NISA to bring out that game now. lol

      • AzureNova

Lol, I knew. I was just saying since we haven’t actually gotten any of the games localized yet is all.

        • Zero_Destiny

Ah I see. My bad then. lol Although We did get a localized version of Fate/Unlimited Codes by Capcom and with this Akyss game we’ll have 2 official localized games so we have seen some Fate/ games offically in the US. ^_^ But I guess no legit Type-Moon Visual Novel Fate/ games yet. :O Oh well. We can only keep hoping that they’ll come some day in the future.

          • AzureNova

Hopefully that future we envision will come soon.

let’s hope this works out for them!

I’ll be getting a Vita to pick up PSP games I missed out on, so if this is download-able, I’ll get it, no doubt o 3o

All right Imageepoch, let’s see whatcha got! :)

  • BadenBadenPrinny

Doubt one of those is a Melty Blood console port :(

  • HarryHodd

Can’t wait to see what thier HD games are.

  • exhume

7th Dragon looks so awesome, I really hope it gets a Western release!

  • http://twitter.com/ShiningxWander Wander

I recently bought the Fate/Stay night manga and it really is good; I hope that Imageepoch is going to do another Fate game. I just hope that this is gonna be on a console so that we have a greater chance of it coming to the US, but I would still rather play it on a handheld xD.
