Catherine Charmed Her Way Into Europe

By Spencer . July 22, 2011 . 1:12am

catherine_screens_39The tease Atlus made earlier was a clue that Catherine might be released in Europe. We have evidence that’s a bit more concrete

Germany’s USK rated Catherine for Xbox 360 as a game that’s acceptable for people over 16. While the PlayStation 3 version was not rated, it doesn’t mean Catherine will be an Xbox 360 exclusive in PAL regions. For multiplatform games, sometimes one rating pops up before the other.

According to the USK, Koch Media is tied as the publisher. Haven’t heard of Koch Media before? Maybe you know their other label Deep Silver, which is handling Dead Island.

I’m still waiting for Trauma Team and Shiren the 3rd thank you very much.

we’ll never get them, as for catherine i already bought the us version with the preorder bonus, so its a good news for those who dont import but for me, i’m not going to wait for a release which will cost much than the us, with probably no bonus or the same and still no french translation.

It’s now confirmed, Deep Silver will be bringing the game to Europe.

Strange choice – as far as I know, this is their first published japanese games. For the most part, they released RTS and ERPG. I wonder if a new collaboration with Atlus might mean we’ll see more of their titles here.

Koch Media has published many japanese games before, in germany, such as Final Fantasy 12 for example.

      • malek86

Koch Media did, mainly thanks to collaborations with Squenix and Nintendo, but I was referring to Deep Silver, which is one of their divisions.

True but you have to start somewhere but this is most likely a one-off they grabbed it because there’s so much talk about it recently.

    • Alex

seems like they have good hope on it since a french site say that they’re going to translate it into french, italian, spanish and german

I used to think the playstyle of this game looked crappy..

But, I just downloaded the demo, and I gotta say it’s pretty close to being game of the year, in my book.

Glad to hear Europe gets it. Now my question is, what about the VO? Will you use the English dubs or Japanese Seiyuus?
