Irem Readies Nintendo 3DS Title

By Spencer . July 25, 2011 . 1:30am

imageThe developer behind Disaster Report and over a dozen pachislot titles is dabbling with the Nintendo 3DS. Guess which series they’re bringing to Nintendo’s handheld.

No, it’s not R-Type. It’s Pachipara. Pachipara 3D (temporary title) is in development. Their 3DS game also happens to be the only publically announced title in the pipeline.

Their last Pachipara port, Pachipara 15: Super Beach Story in Okinawa, was released on May 26 in Japan.

Yes. Doesn’t really matter if of they close or make nothing but such games anymore, it’s they same result to me.

“Because gambling for cash is illegal in Japan, balls won cannot be
exchanged directly for cash in the parlor; instead the balls are
exchanged for tokens, which are then taken outside and exchanged for
cash at a place nominally separate from the parlor and possibly run by organized crime” – Wiki

            Like I said, illegal.

          • http://guardian-legend.com/ Hans Kisaragi

Yakuza. heh.. its still madly popular even if it is illegal.

I was so excited then. All my hopes were torn away when Steambot Chronicles 2 was officially cancelled. I have no faith left in iRem. I wish them well in their endevours in the safety games market. :’(

I guess this is a conservative method to diversify their portfolio fast.

Hell Yeah! This certainly is a worthwhile replacement for the loss of Disaster Report 3!
