The Portable, Touch Screen Version Of Wizardry: Labyrinth Of Lost Souls

wizard1Acquire just released Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls on Japan’s iTunes store. The initial download is free, but users are can only explore the first floor and all characters are capped at level 5. Unlocking the complete game costs 1,200 yen ($15). Acquire plans to sell additional content for the game at a later date.


Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls is a port of the PlayStation 3 game of the same name. Xseed localized the title for North America, but have not announced plans for the iPhone version yet.

    Oh, so it’s not actually free. I thought selling it for free while the PS3 version was $15 sounded like a kick to the face to PS3 users.

    That said, I’m not sure if that price point will do them good. Most smartphone users don’t like to pay more than $10 for their games.

    • If you’re a masochistic enough gamer to play Wizardry you’re probably okay with paying 15 bucks for a game.

      Most smartphone games under $10 don’t offer 200+ hours of glorious grinding in one playthrough either.
