nept2-1Idea Factory is getting ready to release Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2 in Japan. Sony will distribute the game in other regions throughout Asia and released a few, tiny screenshots of Compa, IF, and 5pb in battle. This time you won’t have to purchase DLC to add NISA or Gust to your party either.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2 comes out on August 18 in Japan. Oh, and we may have some other Idea Factory stories next week…

  • Cute, etc. Oh and not havng to buy Nisa and Gust is great.
Shame the company behind a HD console and Bluray can’t release HD screens. :P

    • I don’t think it was Sony that sent out these screenshots :/

      • Compile Heart still using screen capture hardware from the 32bit era, I see.

Oh nice, does this mean the non-goddesses (sans Compa and IF) are going to be a bigger part of the story this time around? I hope so, and I think my new favorite character to use is going to be 5pb. :D

  • Will RED be in Mk-2? I like her…

    • EusisLandale

It doesn’t seem likely, as nothing’s really been seen about her being in it.
Between IF’s, maybe, new found forwardness with the ladies and the new ladies in general I’m pretty sure someone will fill the gap RED is apparently leaving behind.

    • She hasn’t been announced and for good reason. As we reported before Red Entertainment has been acquired by UltiZen games, so contract negotiations have probably changed.

      • EusisLandale

Speaking of characters and announcements, has anything been said about the grey skinned girl in the mouse-hoodie, as well as the demon mouse in the same section of the character page on the game’s website?
Looks like she is to Arfoire as Nepgear is to Neptune, but that’s just me running off of appearances and placement on the page since I can’t actually read any of it.

  • This looks to a massive improvement from the first. They’ve really fleshed a lot of things out. It should make for a good release and perhaps, localisation?
