Follow This PSP RPG Through Generations Starting On November 10

Over My Dead Body expands on the multi-generation system found in games like Record of Agarest War and Phantasy Star III. In this PSP game, your characters only live two years because their entire bloodline has been cursed by a demon. Defeating the demon is the goal of the game, but the first group of heroes won’t do it. Their great-great-great-great-great (maybe great-er?) descendants will.

The game’s unique concept made it a cult classic when it was released for PsOne in Japan. To much Twitter fanfare, Sony greenlit a PSP remake, which will be released in Japanese stores and as a PlayStation Network download on November 10. A limited edition bundle includes the game, wrist strap, soft case, and cleaning cloth (with pictures some of the game’s gods) for 6,980 yen ($90). A standalone game will retail for 4,980 yen ($65).

looks like fun….that we wont receive

    • INFYE

Yeah, sadly it would be out sometime after Vita is released if it did come here. I’ll still be playing PSP games when that happens, but publishers may not spend the time.

Sounds nice, wish it would come here.

PS. I think you mean descendants, not ancestors in the first paragraph.

Wish it would be localized and I like the concept….

Ooo~ it comes out on my birthday, that means i must like it!

The scroll painting art style looks great and is all the selling point I need.
    Besides some English text, anyways.

I wouldn’t mind getting this, but we probably won’t.

One thing though.  If the characters die every two years and you play as descendants, then you’re going to play as adults the first generation and all your other characters are babies who happen to have more babies?

It’s kinda obvious to me considering the popularity of the loli concept in Japan.

Awww my Gods! Why couldnt I have been born in Japan?! I want this SO much!

Saw the PV (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMdFA_b90UY&feature=player_embedded) this morning and now really hope someone picks this up for localization. I do like the update they did to the old school side-view battle system. And the watercolor art style is icing on the cake.

Hmm, looks interesting, love the art style.

I so hope XSeed or Aksys brings this game out of Japan. This game stayed in japan last time around & I don’t want to miss it again. Even more so that SCEJ wants to turn this into a series.

It is amazing just how beautiful this game looks in screen shots only. So being able to play it will be truly incredible.
