No Shortage Of Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2 Promotion In Japan

By Spencer . August 5, 2011 . 1:50am

shop2_1[1]With only two weeks until Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2‘s launch, electronics retailers are marketing the PlayStation 3 game with lavish displays. These are the kinds of things you would see if you stepped into Tsutaya (right) or WonderGoo.

Idea Factory is hosting a collection of storefront displays because they are holding a contest for the hyper Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2 stand. Here’s a look at how the game is being promoted in Japan.

That’s it, I’m moving to Japan, peace out guys.

    • SolidusSnake

Send me one of those displays when you get there. :D

      • DanteJones

Oh, I’ll send you one no problem, for the modest sum of:

        • SolidusSnake

Chump change, my friend. I was afraid I’d have to cough up the friggin sharks with friggin lazer beams attached to their friggin heads.

    • Ben Tan

      order from amiami lulz

    • Guest

      bring back a sandwich

  • japan always get the cool stuffs i wish American learning with them

    • Isn’t America adding a lot of pretty sweet pre-order bonus these days though? Not to the extent of Japan, sure, but I think they are learning to an extent.

      • heartless141

like that boxer and shirt for Catherine :( i wish japan had em so i don’t have to import the english version.

        • Not sure about America or Japan, but I also remember the Europe version of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Collector’s Edition coming with a BlazBlue ceramic mug, a Taokaka T-Shirt and a character DLC code worth 8$. All that in addition to a Limited Edition copy of the game, which comes with a 98-page art book and 8 high-quality art cards.

That’s quite a hefty bonus, if you ask me.

        • skyblaze

you may not have the boxer and shirt but YOU LIVE IN JAPAN. that overrides like… EVERYTHING. it’s my friggin’ dream to live there, dood >.<

          • Guest

but here you have more variety of the womens

plus we have NASCAR, Walmart, mullets (business in the front, party in the back), drive-by shootings in ghettos and cow tipping

    • Eric Chan

What about the Agarest War Special Edition? I’d say that’s learning pretty well…

      • theworldofnoboundries

Huh? Not Agarest: Super Naugty Edition? lol

  • Loli game consoles;
    Number 1 Otaku bait.
    In your face, Sweden.

  • That’s quite a few eyecatching displays.
But I’m not into the main character’s black bikini-ish uniform. It looks so plain and almost vulgar. Her school unform is way cuter.

    • HistorysGreatestMonster

I’m the opposite. I love the black bikini. I’m a bit disappointed that in the few cosplay pictures of the character I’ve seen, no one ever gets the outfit right. Even the one piece one.

  • Guest

Too much pink…now I need some Pepto Bismol

    …wait thats pink too..

    • AzureNova

This kind of pink is good for your soul lol

      • theworldofnoboundries

More white for the Nintendo char model is better.

  • AzureNova

O_O Wow! I wish stores in America would promote games I love like this. It would make the games even more exciting to buy. Either way I can’t wait until Neptunia MK-2 is localized so I can continue the console wars.

    • Its not the stores fault. It’s NISA and the consumer’s fault. These things actually sell games in Japan. If they had that in a Gamestop the store owner would prolly trash it before it ever saw the floor, or some douche bag kid would tear it up while his mom is buying some random COD game for her 9-10yr. old.

  • Ha, I just got off the first game before coming to Basili- I mean, Siliconera :P

I understand people had quips with the game, but man, this is so up my alley I’m on Baker Street.

  • Damn I want all of that don’t care if it isnt the game but still want

    • Learii

count me in i buy it 1 all each of those whatever what they r i keep it

  • Elemiel

  • Darkrise

I would pay for any of those stands or posters…

  • Kai2591

So much pink, purple, skin, lolis, moe and hyperdimensional goodness!

  • Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2 is proving that pink is the new black.
