One Piece: Gigant Battle 2 Time Skips Into Stores This November

By Spencer . August 8, 2011 . 12:25am

imageOne Piece: Gigant Battle 2 New World takes place after the time skip and has a new main mode. As seen in Jump, new world conquest mode has players move on a 3D map and capture islands. Each area ends with a boss fight. Win and you control the territory.

Namco Bandai’s sequel supports Wi-Fi battles, tag mode (DS style wireless passing, not 3DS StreetPass), and even has a feature where you can transfer data from the previous game into the One Piece: Gigant Battle sequel.

When One Piece: Gigant Battle 2 comes out on November 17, fans will be able to pick up a special edition which comes in a pirate themed box. In addition to the Nintendo DS game, this package has an extra large 25 cm. Luffy figure. The limited edition will retail for 7,800 yen ($100). A standalone game is 5,230 yen ($67).

It’s still kinda funny that they’re making a game taking place in the New World before the manga really even gets there.

  • I want that Luffy figure. They are definitely sending off the DS well with this ultimate One Piece game.

This news makes me want to break down and cry even more, since we all know America won’t get this… T_T

      It’s for DS though, so importing is always an option owo;

Nevermind Europe got the 1st one so…

      • AnimeRemix

Importing isn’t a option if you own a DSi. Since I own a DSi, and it’s region locked, I can’t import this game…=(

rar, true, and a bummer it’s why I never bothered with DSi myself omo; But maybe if your really wanting it badly try looking up a used/new deal on a DS Lite >o>? I’ve been running into loads of them recently.

Unless this game is DSi enhanced, then shouldn’t importing not be a problem?

  • Code

rar, I read that this’ll have 100 playable characters +o+ seriously love One Piece so much, and the notion of having so many characters from the One Piece universe is pretty exciting >w<' I don't own any other One Piece games, but I might just have to give this one a shot!

lol, can’t believe a DS game still cost that much. should be dying down right now.
but this is japan we are talking about, everyone has too much money =[

3DS isn’t doing all that hot and DS is still cheaper to make games for obviously nevermind userbase is still huge

      • heartless141

less production cost = they can afford a cheaper price.
        more demands = lower price.
=/ i still don’t see a reason for prices to be that high except for greed

Isn’t that figure limited to a certain store only? It’s a repaint of Master Stars Piece Luffy figure if anyone wonders what it looks like.
