Because Shinobi developer Griptonite Games was trying to develop one. Pitch art leaked out for Dinosaurs vs. Alamo from a former artist.

Another game brewing inside Griptonite has a lady strapped to a bomb.

Most intriguing is Griptonite also had a Tomb Raider pitch. This game appears to be tied to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Since Griptonite makes a number of handheld versions, maybe this was a handheld version that never took off?

If it turns out something similar to Dino Crisis meets Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare, then my answer will be… yes.

It would turn out at least more entertaining than Cowboys and Aliens…

OMG Cowboys VS. Zombiedinosaurs, that’s like one of my 13 holy dreams come true!! I’d totally support that one if it would be a great action game!

I had to make a double-take on the title, honest. And was subsequently reminded of this: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/NinjaPirateZombieRobot.

Seriously: We. Need. More. Dinosaurs. I mean, they’re like the planet’s personal Kaiju, after all.

What’s better than dinosaurs? Zombie dinosaurs, of course. Or Robot dinosaurs, but by a mere margin. Zombie Robotic dinosaurs would be on a whole ‘nother level, though.

That concept for the very unhappy lady strapped with the bomb looks like it could have worked for some crime drama game. She looks like she got caught up in some really crazy ‘ish when all she wanted to do that day was go shopping.

I guess this might be an example of Western movie meets Dino Crisis meets Resident Evil. Yeee-haw!

Cowboys versus Dinosaurs… my curiosity is piqued, though if it turns out to be JUST another light-gun/tower defense game, it shall be retracted.

Cowboys vs Zombie Dinosaurs would have been great. I could have seen the game as a side scroller or a top down shooter. So it sucks this game will not see the light of day.

Is there a Zombie Dinosaur working the inside? Y’know.. like a double agent that’s really on your side? LIKE A ZOMBIE COWBOY DINOSAUR? :D

This, or I won’t hypothetically buy this game. >:(

As long as it wasnt in a desert and maybe a city or more jungle area the zombie dinosaur/cowboy idea is plausiable, the idea of a desert with nothing but sand and a few buildings kinda does sound lame,im also remembering their failed attempt at dinosaurs in space via dino crisis 3,but at this point with so few dinosaur games a few good aspects can get a game moving in the right direction if done correctly

I miss when it was standard to have a Dinosaur level in games.
