sengoku_basara_party_09Famitsu announced a release date for Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes Party. This re-release is a light hearted take on Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes with additional playable characters like Otomo Sorin.

Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes Party will be available for PlayStation 3 (5,800 yen / $75) and Wii (4,990 yen / $65) in Japan on November 10. While Capcom brought Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes to the West, they have not announced this version for North America or Europe at this time.

  • Counting the days for a overseas release of it since I kind of wished there were more playable in Sengoku Basara Samurai Heroes that came last year.

  • I doubt they will bring it over , but if they did I would buy it again.

the game need more female characters! D: 3/30 is not really a nice ratio.

    • To be honest, I really wanted the wives of Masamune and Yukimura to appear, but God forbid that Capcom would ever make SB more in-depth with our bromantic characters having wives.

  • If Kasuga and Toshiie/Matsu are playable, I might think about importing it. They already have 3 of my favorite NPCs from Samurai Heroes…

  • I really hope there’s more to this “light-hearted” expansion. There is so much of SBSH’s game design that are lackluster and the deceitful “conquest of Japan” mechanic got me very frustrated.

I’ve long been in the “shut up and take my money” camp for Sengoku BASARA games, but holy Longcat is that a steep price. Looks like No Shave November will also be No Dinner November. I don’t know why the import prices still surprise me after bringing so many games over, but they do.

Also, Christian Svenson at Capcom has posted that there’s no way fans can convince him that bringing another BASARA overseas will be a profitable venture. Join us in our heartbreak at Koei Warriors’ forums.

Well now I learn not buy buy any of Capcom game’s first incarnation because there’ll always be an updated version later.

“Now?” Street Fighter 2 says “hello.”

    • Actually buying it helps push the companies to make a sequel or an overseas release so every bit helps no matter what.

man gotta wait for a price drop on that :P
