Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. Leaving Arcades And Coming To PS3Usually, Namco Bandai releases Gundam arcade ports for PSP. Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. is a step in a new direction since the it will be released for PlayStation 3. Get ready for online mecha battles; Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. supports those over PlayStation Network.

 

The console version also has an original mode made just for the console release and a BGM edit mode where you can play music saved on your PS3 in the game. New Gundam include Crossbone Gundam X1 Full Cross and Raphael Gundam.

 

Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. comes out on December 1 in Japan.

    I CALLED it.I knew it would be ported to ps3. Very nice looking game. Despite being an arcade game, it was built with the PS3 engine. My gundam excitement is coming back.

    I LOVE BGM edit mode-stuff! Everytime I play Tekken 6, I have to get pumped with Sonic the Hedgehog soundtracks!

    This would be a nice addition to my PS3. And I like the graphics…

      Going by my tendencies to Armored Core and Vanquish I am seemingly partial to OG Knight Sabers and Information High for anything with so much as a power suit, let alone a Gundam.

      Especially an online vs. game I <3 custom soundtracks.  No matter how good the music is, if you're repeatedly playing battles against other peeps online for a couple hours it's going to get old.

    And given all of the Gundam DW games that came out, the US version of Extreme VS will be announced when…?

    (Not that it’s going to matter – hope the JP servers are setup for outside support!)

      This is Namco. If it was Koei Id wait for the U.S release. But I know Namcos track record. And theyre known for holding back on the JPN gems.

    Oh wow, nice! I liked the PSP games, but it is so nice to see a console Gundam Vs. game again. US release, please!

    (And I guarantee that the main Gundam AGE MS will be included as a hidden character. There’s no way it wouldn’t be.)

    I never played any Gundam Wing games for PSP, but seeing this game coming over to the PS3, I do want it….I want it now damnit!

      Gundam Wing is the wrong way to feel motivated for playing this game.

      Probably will have split screen, but LAN on a console?

      My vote is spectator and tournament modes. Custom paints and insignias, but the latter if it happens will probably be DLC if only to keep people from putting boobs on a MS.

    I hope it’s good. And I hope we get it in the West. We need more arcade ports here (Shining Cross – HOW COULD YOU  NOT BRING THAT HERE, SEGA!?!), and also I’m getting sick of the Dynasty Warriors Gundam games. Not that I even play ‘em. It just sucks that they’re the ONLY option for Gundam games nowadays.

    Hope this comes here since the other gamers didn’t. There is always the Japanese PSN Account trick if it still works. About dam time they start making anime games people wanted for the PS3. Only took them 5 years.

      lol, what are you talking about? PS3 is the only system (besides the handheld PSP) that has ANY good Anime games. I dunno what system, but none compare. And you dont have to do any tricks its region free.

      Edit: Ohh, your a Wii fan. My bad, I was thinking of stuff other than OP, Bleach, and DBZ when I said Anime games. My bad, Wii does have a bunch of Naruto, OP, and DBZ. So if thats your thing, then yeh, its got some good anime games. We can all agree 360 has 0-none, all anime fans point & laugh at the 360 gamers….jk

    Oh my goodness….how nostalgic. I’ve always been a massive gundam fan…owned literally every localized one I could get my hands on for PS2 back in the day. Nothing has really impressed me so far this gen as far as gundam releases go….but this……this is I can do. Reminds me of some Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram…man how I remember spending hours battling my friends back in the middle school days…looks like I’ll be doing it all over again.

      The vita will be released the same month as this game. If anything it’ll be on the Vita before the PSP. If we want an awesome game, then thats a good thing.

    gundam vs series its a great fanservice and best gundam game, i really hope that they release it here, but it wont the last game of gundam vs release here was gundam vs zeta gundam for ps2, But i think that somehow if they release it over here it will be without japanese voice, no anime BGM, and many other issues…. anyways must import

    Man i am so glad they are porting this  to the PS3! really cant wait. just hope they increase the roster of Gundams to that of at least Gundam VS Gundam Next plus. Either way i am really exited.
