Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, much like Dead Rising 2 before it, will have additional costumes sold as downloadable content. Frank West can kill zombies dressed in four extra costumes: cyborg, fire fighter, barbecue chef, and cosplay warrior.
Cyborg Frank can discharge electricity and stun nearby zombies. This costume also adds electric damage when he fights with his bare hands or electrical appliance. Survivors run faster when following fire Fighter Frank. This costume also lets Frank kick open doors and blast zombies with a torrent of water when using a water gun. BBQ chef Frank turns ketchup and mustard into dangerous weapons. He also gets a bonus when using explosives and a chef’s knife as a weapon.
Cosplay warrior Frank was first revealed at Comic-Con. This outfit gives Frank West an extra 25% PP after each attack and a special combo when using the practice sword and shield. In North America, the cosplay warrior costume is a pre-order bonus at Gamestop. Each costume will cost 200 yen or 160 Microsoft Points in Japan.
