kidic Originally planned for a 2011 launch, Nintendo delayed Kid Icarus: Uprising to the first quarter of 2012. Nintendo plans to use the extra development time to expand the quality of the game. It will join other first party releases like Luigi’s Mansion 2, Animal Crossing, Mario Tennis, Fire Emblem, and Paper Mario.

To promote the game, Production I.G. (Ghost in the Shell), Studio 4C (Catherine), and Shaft (Negima) will create 3D anime movies users can watch on the Nintendo 3DS. Iwata said these would be available worldwide.
