Mario Tennis Coming To 3DS Next Year

At the Nintendo 3DS press conference, president Satoru Iwata announced Mario Tennis (temporary name) for the handheld.

In addition to 3D graphics, Mario Tennis will support the gyro sensor for controls. Mario Tennis for the 3DS is slated for release next year.

    I have fond memories of Mario tennis 64 so if it plays like that then i might get it

    Mario Tennis: Power Tour was incredibly addictive on the GBA. Mario Golf on the GBA was friggin’ hard. I’d love another Mario Tennis iteration which has that classic quirky style, preferably with a lot more content than in Power Tour and with a difficulty near Mario Golf.

    This would also be a great exercise in the 3DS’ 3D things, with depth of the field and all. Imagine a power smash blazing down this thing.

    Yes finally a new Mario Tennis game. Probably the only Mario Sport games I adored, so I keep a eye on this.

    3D should really help here. One of the biggest problems I had with Mario Tennis for Wii was that it was difficult to time my hits when the ball came directly at me.

    Oh man! I haven’t played a Mario tennis game since the N64 days. ;__; I’m so excited to hear this. Gotta keep my one this. So now solid two reasons to buy a 3DS.

    Never play any Mario Sport except Mario Baseball which is really addicting to me and my little sister. Hope this one will be as good as the Baseball series too.

    It’s kinda funny that we’re getting Mario Tennis sooner than Mario Golf though, usually Camelot releases MG before they release MT. 2012 can’t honestly swing by fast enough.
