Square Enix will hand out an AR card for Bravely Default: Flying Fairy at Tokyo Game Show, which will let 3DS owners test out the game’s augmented reality features. Cards aren’t available yet, but the application is.
We downloaded it from Japan’s eShop to give you another look at Square Enix’s upcoming Nintendo 3DS RPG.
The video is in 2D, but the Bravely Default: Flying Fairy application runs in 3D. With the depth slider turned on, you can see into the busy world. Chat boxes seem to hover somewhere above the action, but they don’t leap out of the screen. Want to see what happens after the app scans an AR card? See this story.
Bravely Default is slated for release on Nintendo 3DS next year.
