The Bemani team premiered a new music game at Tokyo Game Show called Boom Boom Dance. I got to see a bit of it at Tokyo Game Show and it’s an Xbox 360 exclusive designed for Kinect. What makes Boom Boom Dance different from Dance Dance Revolution and their earlier Kinect game Dance Masters is this game doesn’t have set steps to follow.
Markers appear in the air to hit with your hands, feet, head or whatever Kinect can track. It’s a bit like Para Para Paradise meets Just Dance with bears riding unicycles.
When you hit notes on beat wacky elements fly out on the screen like giant graffiti words or winking ponies. Boom Boom Dance doesn’t have a scheduled release date and requires the Kinect sensor.
