Make The Home Of Your Dreams In Dragon Quest X

Jump has a detailed look at Dragon Quest X: Waking of the Five Tribes’ town and you can own a piece of it. Players can build a house in Astordia in a residential block of the town. Houses can be customized, but Jump didn’t discuss this feature in detail.

Dragon Quest X’s hub world also has an inn where you can rest at to restore HP. The ground floor has a concierge too which informs players about events in the game. Screenshots also show a blacksmith, likely a place where you can improve your equipment and create new items, plus a bazaar. You can display wares at the traveler’s bazaar. Sounds like that’s going to be the place where you can sell gear to other players. Dragon Quest X also has a post office and Jump hints that you may be able to send letters to friends and perhaps even give items to other players there too.

Dragon Quest X comes out next year for Wii and will also be released on Wii U at a later date.

Customized house? Sounds like Phantasy Star. Hope that the customization will be huge so that player could also spend some of their time make their house as how they wanted.

No surprise here – a ton of MMOs have this feature. I’m just hoping Square-Enix isn’t focusing on this silliness on top of nailing the core game. I do not trust Square to make a great Dragon Quest. Square and Enix might completely different types of games, and we haven’t seen Square ably produce a charming, refined, old-school AND new, ambitious game in a looong time – something Dragon Quest IX did effortlessly.

      But Square-Enix is Enix.

And plus, I doubt the all of the people working on DQ back in the day are the same people there today. Don’t blame it on Square.

This better be more customization than secret bases from Pokemon Gen 3. lol

But Secret Bases in Gen 3 were rad! Best part of that gen.

Rad they were but they weren’t AWESOME FANTABULOUS.

Sounds great! Now just give us an offline version a la Monster Hunter Tri, and we’ll be good.
