From Software quickly shut down the servers and asked users to play offline. Fortunately, the issue has been resolved. Dark Souls version 1.02 is scheduled to come out tomorrow, September 27, in the afternoon.

Instructions on how to restore online play are here (in Japanese) and the patch will be distributed via PlayStation Network.

Dark Souls makes its debut in North America on October 4 as a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game.
