Final Fantasy XIII-2 unlike its predecessor will have downloadable content. When I visited a Lawson convenience store in Tokyo, I noticed they were offering some kind of downloadable content if you reserved the game along with your daily melon bun and cold black coffee. Pre-order Final Fantasy XIII-2 from Lawson stores or HMV and you will receive a Seraphic Wing weapon for Serah as a bonus. This item, an angelic bow, absorbs some damage you deal to enemies as life. Healing and attacking at the same time? That’s like the Blood Sword, but in bow form.
Square Enix will give us a look at the weapon in the future, probably before Final Fantasy XIII-2 ships on December 15 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Square Enix confirmed the North American version, scheduled for January 31, 2012, will also have DLC, but did not announce any specific plans.
