Tales Social Game Will Have Over 100 Characters From 15 GamesNamco Bandai are bringing two of their popular series to Mobage. The publisher announced Idolm@ster Social Game (tentative title) and Tales of Kizna (tentative title). The Idolm@ster game is a bit different than the arcade and upcoming PlayStation 3 title – it uses a card battle system. Idolm@ster Social will have over 100 characters plus brand new idols. You can also challenge other players in Live Showdowns and the winner can take an item from the loser. Idolm@ster Social is slated for release at the end of November.

Tales of Kizna is being developed by KLab, a social game studio that created Toybot Fighters. This game will feature over 100 characters from the series from fifteen different titles. Like the Idolm@ster Social, Tales of Kizna uses character cards. Players will be able to combine these to create a parties and join guilds with other players. Guilds can band together to battle giant monsters or other guilds. Tales of Kizna will be released in the middle of November and registration is open today.

As neat as this is… I’m OK without ever playing this.  Then again, Mobage is out on Android in the U.S., isn’t it?

What system is Tales of Kizna for?

    Namco…you fail at romanization AGAIN!
It should be Tales of Kizuna(Tales of Bonds, if you wish to translate the last word).
Broken japanese is so broken in their romanizations sometimes.

Don’t you think it’s for some aesthetic effect? It’s not like they have to intentionally name a Tales of title after a real word, you know.

Unless Xillia, Symphonia, Eternia are such. Besides, Kizna has a snappy feel to it, but maybe that’s just me.

They do name some games after a real word. Tales of Hearts, Tales of Innocence, Tales of Rebirth.
Except that those words are english.
I only complain about broken japanese, since I can’t understand those guys. They’re japanese too, and I don’t think Tales of Kizuna is ever gonna get localized, so why the broken japanese word?
Besides, they’re breaking the rules of romanization, so that’s kinda…faily.

Wow, a social game Tales spinoff has more characters than an ACTUAL Tales game lmao, they should at least have a sequel to VS or something lol.
