Ninja Gaiden 3 Isn’t All Bloody Swords, There Are Fire Dragons Too

By Spencer . November 2, 2011 . 10:33am

One of Ryu Hayabusa’s ninpo techniques in Ninja Gaiden 3 is transforming into a dragon… made out of fire. Use this technique and you devour all of the enemies nearby, which restores your life.

Ninja Gaiden 3 begins in London where terrorists took control of the city and have the Prime Minister as a hostage. They don’t want to rule the world or even the United Kingdom, they just want Ryu Hayabusa. Ryu arrives in London and meets the leader, the Regent of the Mask, who curses him with the Grip of Murder. The curse feeds on death and it looks like its going to have a feast judging by these screenshots.

Ninja Gaiden 3 is slated for release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in early 2012.

“Ninja Gaiden 3 Isn’t All Bloody Swords”

Oh, okay. If it’s not completely bloody, does that mean there’ll be stealth or non-lethal KOs this time-

    “There Are Fire Dragons Too”

    Nevermind~ False alarm.

  • Souji Tendou

Regent: “Heya Ryu, I’ve been wanting to meet you!”

Ryu: “WHAT?! You kidnapped the PM just to meet me? I…… I….. I’m flattered. You know, I never forget what happened that night.” *blush*

Regent: “Yeah, right. And then you just dumped me on the street. That’s why I’m gonna make you pay for that!” *weird chants*

    “KAZAAAM!”

Ryu: “What….. what have you done to my right arm?”

Regent: “That’s a curse. Now everytime you kill someone, it’ll make you remember me, and your feeling for me will grow even stronger than ever before. That’ll also serve as a reminder for you when you take my virginity that day.”

    Ryu: “Nooooooo….”

Okay, joking aside, I’m actually still waiting for this game to come out. I’m curious about the result of your works this time Hayashi.

      O_O

This… Wha… How… Did you just turn the premise of Ninja Gaiden 3 into a prologue of a slash fic?

      • Souji Tendou

        :p

Just feels like making fun of the premise of NG3. Tbh, I can’t understand why they want to focus more on the story, NG never meant to focus on story. The gameplay is what matters, and based on all the news I’ve read so far, as well as demos and trailers, they’re all dissappointing.

        • PrinceHeir

well Masato Kato will be returning to do the story(in which he did the original trilogy)

plus he wrote Cross, Trigger, and had a role with Xenogears, FFVII and many more :P

so i think the story will be good this time around :P

man i cannot wait for this game :)

might want to brush of some skills through mission mode :P

In NG1 everything felt patched together. An eastern European city, with ruins from Egypth, South America…and a gate to hell in the center. That was silly and fun.

The excessive violence and more “saviour of the world” tone they started with NG2 is not my thing. NG3 seems to continue that… hum.

Well anyway, if the game plays well, it shouldn’t matter too much.

The Regent of the Mask, with his Grip of Murder.

Man that sounds so power-metal. Cheesy, but cool.

  • Solomon_Kano

The fire dragon looks awesome, moreso than I expected when I read about it prior. Game keeps looking good. lmao@ “Grip of Murder” though.

  • krokounleashed

Some terrorist want a _japanese_ guy. So, they take the _uk_ pm as a hostage? Huh? This game will be so bad.

  • theworldofnoboundries

Time to be Ninja dog once more lol.

Even the prime minister of U.K is like……. “nothing” compare to Ryu? Damn Lord.
