Can You Guess What Caves Next Announcement Will Be?Bullet hell shooter developer Cave is teasing an announcement this week. A teaser site dates it as November 11, 2011, but the news may come out sooner through Famitsu.

 

We’re not sure what to make of this title since the developer is teasing us with character silhouettes. Cave has recently gotten into the visual novel department with Instant Brain, an Xbox 360 exclusive with a few nifty Kinect features, and before that Princess Debut.

 

When I last spoke to Makota Asada, Game Development Manager, he expressed interest in Kinect.

    Hmmm seeing the silhouettes of the character i can see that is not all loli or female like Deathsmiles as there are some males character T_T.

    But well seeing this is Cave, i think they won’t fail me.

    Hm… looks like another VN?  And Instant Brain hasn’t even come out yet, demo was good though.. 5 ikemen in the middle and 4 girls on the side.. dunno what to make of the dots on the date..

    Usually I don’t spend extra to buy the book store card, but this time I kinda regret it :(.. the artwork is amazing.. oh well, the card is pretty small anyway, so maybe it’s better to save..

    Didn’t Cave said before that they wanted to make anther adventure game or something? I’m going to go ahead and guess VN.

    I would have said a VN but judging from the siloettes theres more men than chicks which isnt right for VNs. Infact if it is a VN the world would implode.

    No CAVE dont do it! 11.11.11 is soon and I dont want to die!

    Ok serious guess, its something for the Vita (probably a VN or a shooter)

    Btw I wonder who they have working on the music for their non shmups. Ryu Umemoto (RIP) would have been perfect for a VN (my kingdom for an english YU-NO fan translation) but since they work with some of the best 90s VGM talent im sure the music will be very good

    I’ll guess it will be something disappointing – visual novel, iOS/Android game, or a combination of both.

        There’s no promises it could be a dating sim. It could be a shmup featuring Mahjong. Which would be awesome.

        I hope it’s not Mahjong either.. there were lots of nudie mahjong games back in the days, you win and the girls take off the clothes..  Personally I don’t know how to play the game either, really hated it back then and didn’t learn about it on purpose..

    Those silhouettes… Ibara Mahjong? I’d much prefer something like Janryuumon or Tenhou in the mobile space with PUG multiplayer, but this is Cave. Still, the world can always use another decent _actual_ Mahjong game to counter balance those awful fake matching-game mockeries that have the audacity to claim the same name.
