So so so SO curious to see how Ni no ku ni Ps3 will do in Japan, given the lower than expected sales of the DS version (which still were considered fine by Level-5 if I recall correctly).

But this time around I really wish the game sells greatly, it looks gorgeous and I can’t want to give it a try!

i agree, lets hope that the game is good and that they do great

I wish L5 all the success they deserve. Depending on L5′s choice to
include Japanese dubs (White Knight was English-dub-only) I’m getting
the European or the Japanese version =)

Can’t wait, game looks gorgeous and it seems to be an amazing JRPG.

People on my PSN friends list already have Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, lol.

Im just getting Assassin’s Creed Revelations and the guide for it. Anticipation for it has kept me from digging deeper into Skyrim.

Just got Assasins Creed and Saints Row 3.  ZElda is coming Sunday.  i can’t ever remember having this many new big releases at one time.

Haha, mine too, and many of my friends at school kept talking about Skyrim. I’m just getting KOF13 and Tekken Hybrid……or I might change Tekken Hybrid to Super Mario 3D Land.

    Double post, sorry

There is… way too much stuff coming out this week. This is probably the busiest week of the year.

As for me, I just got Shinobi – which is pretty cool for now, I’d say check it out – and I’ve also just ordered Halo Anniversary, just because it’s fitting that my 360 would see its last game as the remake of my first Xbox game.

On a side note, this also means I’ve decided to wait for the 3DS version of Rayman, no matter how long it takes. I just prefer to have it portable.

  • Learii

no moe games for me until next year

  • Aoshi00

That’s pretty soon for Ni no Kuni, I thought it won’t be out next week until w/ Saint Seiya..

Just picked up Mario 3D Land and played the first world, a blend of 2D & 3D, very fun and clever platforming, really takes advantage of the 3DS..  finally a worthy game for the system.

Other than that, just Halo and Zelda for me, never played the original Halo, been wanting to so it’s great they did a remake.. will get to Kmart first thing Sunday morning to see if they have the Skyward Sword bundle..

Just started playing Peace Walker on MGS HD Collection, love it, control so much better than on the PSP (died a lot on the PSP but not here), and the graphics is beautiful.. one thing I was surprised though MGS 2/3 had separate trophy lists and more trophies than the achievements which has 2/3 together as HD collection.. but PW has separate trophy/cheevos for both PS3360.. double dipping on the Jpn MGS HD collection too, but it’s expensive since they’re separate :(…

Mario 3D is totally on my want list. I finally got my money situated now, still not rich but now I got enough to spend on games again. I definitely plan to get a 3DS and Mario and Zelda in the near future. :) Lee got to go to the Mario show they had last weekend in NYC, the lucky duck, he also went to Comic-Con. I’m still jealous of when he got to go to Dragon Quest IX show too. lol He gets to go to all the cool stuff.

Skyward Sword is pretty much the only game I’ll be garbing and playing this week (or technically next since its Sunday but whatever). I pre-order it like a month ago at my GameStop, even though my wallet was really hurting back then. Had to trade in some games, in order to afford it but its gonna be all worth it. ^_^ I went all out and got the bundle with the controller, screw it I haven’t bought a games in months and this is Zelda after all. lol The commercials for Zelda have been real fun lately with Robin and Zelda Williams. I’m super hyped for Skyward Sword.

Halo 1 man that brings back memoreis from when my Bro first got his XBox. I don’t play too many shooters now but back then I was actually good at those games. lol Now-a-days after not touching the genre for like 10 years it has evolved so much I get my butt kicked no matter. XD But yeah we used to play the hell outta that game. It was quite fun, and personally I think it had the best story outta the main trilogy, with Halo 2 the Aliens starting talking and it just got silly from there. (imo)

Yea, it’s a good time to get a 3DS now, if you like the Zelda LE or Mario flare red bundles or just a regular color w/ like $25 credit from many retailers.. and good games are finally making their way out like 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Luigi’s Mansion..  You mean Tommy?  I haven’t been to Nintendo World in a long time ever since Kinokuniya moved down to 42nd from 50th.. my sis went to Comic-con and got many swags.. the last thing I stood in line for the Kinect launch at Toysrus a year ago, was cold as heck.. but got T-shirts, umbrellas, beanies, games, and a 12-month live card.. Sonic Generations is fun too, but I prefer Mario 3D Land..

I haven’t been keeping up w/ the Skyward Sword news, want to go into the game fresh.. I liked Twilight Princess as a launch game.  I originally pre-ordered from Amazon, but canceled and thinking of getting from Kmart this Sun, I hope they have the remote bundles in stock..  wow, awesome commercial, had no idea Robin Williams did some, like Harrison Ford for the Jpn Uncharted 3 commercials :)  I didn’t know he has a daughter named Zelda either, perfect for this :)

I did have an Xbox back then for Shenmue and Panzer Dragoon Orta, only a handful of games but that was pretty much it.. I remember my cousin much younger than me was hooking up different TVs and had friends over for multiplayer and it was big back then, I don’t play many FPSs either.. That’s what I heard too, the first one still has the best story.. I saw the animated shorts on the blu-ray and was interested in the universe.. so now I’ll start w/ the first one.  Haven’t played ODST or Reach yet…

definitely many games, I’m way broke too *.*…

EDIT: btw, if you want to get from Kmart, get a 3DS and Mario 3D land you get $50 coupon, you’ll still get $35 and $15 coupons by buying them separately. And for Zelda they give a $20 coupon, but the bundles are limited.. later Walmart will have it for $60 on Blk Fri, but they’ll probably be gone fast..

        • http://zerodestinypro.blogspot.com/ Zero_Destiny

Yes good old [http://disqus.com/Lee_Eni/]  We talk a lot on twitter, I practically begged him to bring a camera to Comic-Con so I can see some of the stuff too. lol He took a lot of pictures and I have to say the Bandai show had an awesome display so many figures and models of classic robot animes. Oh and talking about Swag they were givin’ out giant foam Layton hats at Comic-Con (another thing to be jealous of XD).

I was just watchin’ the videos they were putting up here on this site for Skyward Sword but I stopped halfway through since they kept getting more spoilerly. lol Still keep up with all the Nintendo Commercials on their youtube channel though since lately their commercials have been lots of fun. Would you believe me if I told you that Robin Williams and his wife at the time were such big Zelda fans that they actually named their daughter after the series. There’s some cool parents for you. ^_^

Panzar Dragoon on the Xbox is another great game we played back then. It’s the only one I played though, the Saturn game is one of my holly grails of gaming right up there with Suikoden II. I search the Flea Markets like a fiend for those games but to no avail still. Shenmue on the Xbox was how I got introduced to the series and Jet Set Radio got me into that series too. I did manage to go out and get their prior games on the Dreamcast thankfully.

Speaking of Xbox do you remember MechAssault? Everyone had MechAssault back in the day they gave the game away for pretty much everything. Bought a controller: here’s a copy of MechAssault. Bought an Xbox console: here’s your copy of MechAssault. Bought an issue of XBox magazine here’s a copy of MechAssault, bought XBox live here’s an added bonus you guess it MechAssault. XD lol We must of had like 5 or 6 copies of that game. We started to give them away as gifts. lol I use to love that game for some reason when I was younger. Now I can barely remember the game play. Oh yeah I also loved Crimson Skies that was another classic. Oh and Fable 1, I liked Fable 1 a lot when I was younger then I got into Elder Scrolls. lol Now I feel nostalgic for the original Xbox.

Aoshi you sir are a shopping master thanks for the heads Up. :)

          • Aoshi00

Layton foam hat?  awesome!  My sis got this cardboard Super Saiyan hair like those birthday party headbands you wrap around your head :)

Cool, that’s what I thought.. well at least Zelda is a real girl’s name, if the parents name you by some weirder names after anime/movies it would be less unfortunate.. Zelda just sounds classy, I think it’s more of a name from the older generation though..

Really?  I never played MechAssault.. like I said, I really just had 5-6 games on my original Xbox, Jet Set Radio came bundled w/ it.. I played Fable II later but not the first one.. still pretty weird I got so few games for one system.. it was mostly to play Shenmue 2 since they ditched the Dreamcast..

No prob, too many games, so saving every penny counts, gotta take the best deal :)

Never really liked the Halo games after the first one, due to some annoying level design.

To put it mildly, all the games after the first one are geared toward a long-range experience. While it’s possible to clear the games with weapons like the machine guns and needle guns, the levels are designed so that you’ll almost always find yourself in big areas that are much longer than larger, effectively rendering them “corridors” where advancing toward the enemy is too dangerous a choice. If playing on Legendary, you’ll run out of bullets often, forcing you to try and rush the enemy, leading to many a death. It’s made even worse by the fact that enemy numbers have been made higher, probably due to the assumption that your rechargeable health makes you stronger than before.

The only solution to this is to only carry long-range weapons (pistols, rifles), but those might eventually run out of bullets. So you have to get incredibly good at aiming machine guns from a distance… and in Reach, where Elites have once again rechargeable shields, it’s not a solution: either rush, or suffer eternally in a trench.

The first Halo is the only one where the design is either pretty small (like in most shooters, for example Half-Life) so that you can engage the enemy in close combat, or big and large enough that you can take a round-about path to them. Either way, your machine gun weapons are not useless. Almost all the weapons in Halo have some use. Can’t say the same about the sequels, not even Reach or ODST, which were supposed to be more like the first game (hint: they really aren’t).

Halo is still one of my favorite FPS, so I guess it’s good that you’re starting with it. But if you like it, don’t be surprised if the latter games ain’t that good. I still like them, but I only consider them a bit above average.

          • Aoshi00

Cool, I see, my friend felt the same as you and he plays a lot of FPSs, he got all Halo 3, ODST, Reach and even Halo Wars, he wasn’t too taken w/ them either.. If I like the first one, I might still check out the later sequels.. heard the story was the best in the first one from many fans.

          • malek86

I’d indeed say Halo has the best story out of the series. It’s much simpler for a start, and it feels more like proper sci-fi than hollywood-ish adventure. Too bad they screwed up with the sequels.

I wasn’t really going to get this remake because I don’t care for the multiplayer and the first game still works on the 360, but I found it for 30€, so yeah. And I kinda wanted to play it in the proper speed (we only got the PAL50 version here, unlike Halo 2 which was 480p for everyone). Chances are I’ll play in classic mode.

          • Aoshi00

My copy just shipped. I saw the new graphics looks great, I’ll probably try playing it in 3D if it’s good. And one could toggle btwn classic and updated graphics w/ a touch of a btn.. I heard the gameplay is exactly the same except given a facelift. Opinions seem to be split regarding the sequels, but all the fans seem to hail the first one as the best and most nostalgic.

I never played the original at the time, so classic probably looks too old for me.. I don’t know much about Halo except the several animated shorts on the blu-ray done by Jpn and the universe looks interesting. Been meaning to get into Halo, so this remake is perfect for me.. like I imagine the MGS HD Collection is perfect for someone who hasn’t played them before.. Peace Walker looks absolutely amazing on the HD remake.. and the 2nd analog stick makes it like 10x easier to play.. so far I had no problem w/ the control unlike on the PSP… kinda regret buying it so many times before.. if anyone wants, I could sell the Jpn MGS1 or PW d/lable code for $10 each.. I got it on 360 and importing the PS3 ver too.. alrdy bought MGS1 on Jpn PSN before.. and have no need for Jpn digital copy of PW… I want those dang avatar items, they’re not free for the US :(..
