Atelier Meruru: The Alchemist of Arland Will Alchemise In Spring

NIS America have announced Atelier Meruru: The Alchemist of Arland is headed to the U.S. and Europe in spring 2012.

 

Meruru, the apprentice of Totori from Atelier Totori, is the star this time around. Atelier Meruru takes place in the country of Arls.

 

 

One of the new features of Atelier Meruru is a world building system, which we mentioned in our coverage of the Japanese version of the game. The screenshots above depict how you can erect a fortress over a piece of land. The screen below is a view of how you’ll construct new buildings, using points built up by completing quests.

 

In addition to Meruru, both Totori and Rorona make appearances in the game, too. Rorona’s a little girl now, but you don’t get to find out why until you play the game (unless you’re OK with spoilers).
