Scarygirl Graphic Novel Gets Game From Square Enix

Australia’s Classifications Board leaked one of Square Enix’s future releases. The publisher’s European division picked up a title from Cuboid HD developer TikGames. Introducing Scarygirl, a fairytale game based on this graphic novel series.

Console downloadable platforms? Sounds like a PlayStation Network and/or Xbox Live Arcade release to us. Scarygirl will be TikGames’ second title tied to the graphic novel. Earlier this year, they released Dr Maybee and the Adventures of Scarygirl as a PlayStation Mini.

      eidos is part of SE, which mean SE have western dev and jp dev now, nothing weird if their western side (eidos) making/publishing western game based on western graphic novel.

      Seriously though, why not? The only possible reason I could think of as to why you would disapprove would be insufficient monies, but don’t let that discourage you!

    Hope it’s better than the Mini game. I’ve played that; it’s a miss, for sure. Loose controls, not a lot to do, bad art (the style looks great in pics, but when you need to be able to tell platforms from backgrounds, it fails)…there were a host of problems. As far as platformers go, it’s a looooong way from the best on the Minis service – that would be Legend of Robot (well worth it; it’d be good as a PSN game). Scarygirl sure doesn’t deserve an XBLA/PSN upgrade if you ask me. Unless Tik stepped up their game significantly.
