This Week In Imports: Flower Spreading Space Dragons From The Future

Imageepoch’s 7th Dragon series returns with a game set in the not so distant future where space dragons ruined Tokyo. Now it’s up to a group of samurai, psychics, and hackers to eradicate them and save Hatsune Miku. Sega’s other RPG this week is an extended version of Valkyria Chronicles III.

 

Metal Gear Solid HD Edition (note: this is different from Metal Gear Solid: Collection), Saint Seiya: Sanctuary Battle, and Pachipara 3D from Irem rounds up this week’s release schedule.

      I wanted to import it, but I have enough games that I can understand to get my hands on as is lol. Plus the price of importing is just… ugh. One day though! Hope it’s good.

    Seiya is tempting me, but I shall resist! Til the European version hits, at least. Then I’ll import that. But, for now, viva la resistance!

    Wait, Corpse Party is out this week? I forgot all about it! I’ll have to make sure I save some of my Black Friday shopping for PSN then.

      I’m hoping the States get Saint Seiya. Hokuto Musou, a comparable game, did well enough, I think, to warrant localization. I think across both consoles it sold about 100,000. That’s not too bad, right? Right?!

        Sounds good to me for a relatively low-key release. Y’know, I keep forgetting that game actually made it here. Considering that it did alright, there may actually be hope for us to get this. Yea.

    I do not believe there is anything else domestically Im getting this year.  I think DLC may be all Im getting (Disgaea 4 DLC in the US if I recall and any map packs for Uncharted 3).

    If I was in JPN, I would get Weiss Schwarz, this sites coverage made it seem cool.

    Thought the big must have this week is Uta no Prince Sama.

    Much as I’d love to get Rayman Origins, I’ll probably wait for the 3DS version.

    As for what I’m playing this week, well… that’s not even a question: Serious Sam 3 is unlocked tomorrow. I have it preordered since forever. I even went full out tonight so I could finish Halo CEA on Legendary before it, and so tomorrow it’s time for some serious shooting action.

    But Steam, why no preload? Woe is me.

    when will japan be receiving the Peace Walker HD Edition(they sell it separately)

    though i just receive confirmation that my KOFXIII(with 4-CD Soundtrack) has just shipped out and is arriving tomorrow :)

    cannot wait for it :D

      Peace Walker HD was released on 11/10 in Jpn and MGS2/3 on 11/23, I imported the Jpn ver of PW on PS3, debating if I should be importing MGS 2/3 as well.. so dang expensive :(…

      BTW, I had no idea the PS3 collection has more trophies than achievement.. on PS3 the trophies are separate for 2 & 3, but for 360 you have achievement for 2 and 3 together as a collection.. PW has the same trophy/achievement for both.. dunno why they would do it like that, usually it’s pretty much identical..

          Yeah, it’s too bad they’re not dual audio, that would save some money, not to mention Jpn got these as separate games, but that’s OK.. I think I’d get that eventually as well, just like how I collect both ver of FFs before..  I doubt ZoE would have dual audio either..

          The two ver almost have the same trophy/cheevo, except 360 missing some, here’s the difference, I really don’t know why.. seems like a first to me, but I ‘like aiming w/ the 360 controller better.. you just get more for doing things on PS3 like “Hurt Locker” for stuffing an enemy in locker but no equivalent achievement for that.. so it feels a little incomplete..

          Nah, PS3 doesn’t have those, it’s not the PS3 avatars like the 360 gamer pics, it’s the items surrounding your 360 avatars :)  Check out the Metal Gear Ray and Shagohod.. those were free w/ the Jpn 360 ver, and the cardboard tank and Peace Walker come w/ PW.. I was hoping they would be free.. I might buy them if they’re on sale or something.. I dig these avatar stuffs especially the unlockable rewards from games..

            now that’s a game that badly needs Dual Audio.

            that’s a shame :

            kinda wish they delayed the game and add the missing trophys/achievement as well as putting online leader boards for the VR Missions and Duel Modes.

            the background art is awesome O____O

            wouldn’t it be cool if more publishers and sony would push these kind of apps???

            i would definitely buy something like this.

            imagine a Metal Gear Solid Database(well they do have one but it’s only information, no real time events etc) you can see news about the new game or interviews for kojima and such.

            im still baffled why sony refuse to support something like this.

            Yeah, I only played ZoE 1/2 in Jpn actually.. I remember the Eng dub for the first game at least wasn’t very good.. I prefer Jehuty’s Jpn voice, it was cuter :)

            Hm.. you mean the Misato news report app was not localized?  It was like a program that used an artificial voice that sounds like Mitsuishi Kotono (Misato’s VA) basically reporting news events.. it ran for 12 months in Jpn.. I d/led the app but never bought the monthly license to try it..  Hm..  if they were to make an audio MGS database, I think they would get the real actors to do it instead of using a computer generated voice.. the Misato thing was sort of an experiment like Maku the Vocaloid or something.. but hearing it just straight report Jpn news was pretty monotonous and boring (it didn’t sound all that natural w/ pauses)..   The Jpn ver of MGS4 did have some in-game Kojima podcasts, but I don’t think it got many updates afterwards..

            never knew the MGS4 had a in game podcast on it.

            hopefully by next gen they expand this medium even moreso ^^

    Hope Saint Seiya would be a good game, I think I’ll be getting the DLC costume set.. having a blast playing Peace Walker HD now.. some bosses are still pretty hard.. 

    I got to my local Kmart first thing Sunday morning at 8am to pick up the Zelda bundle, they only had 2 copies available and a guy was standing in front of me looking for the same thing (he saw me looking over at the Wii section, I did chat w/ him a little though lol), they didn’t have it on the shelves so we were anxiously waiting for the staff to check the back but pretending not to care :)   good thing there’s enough for both of us.. a little peeved the box is dented in a few places though.. but it’s pretty much sold out everywhere from what I gather (even on Amazon which I pre-ordered before and canceled).

    Interesting the European name for Layton is Specter’s Call..

      I pre-ordered the limited edition of Skyward Sword at CD Universe on October 22nd, paid it in full as well. Imagine my horror when I checked my order status and saw it was cancelled and then back-ordered! No email notifying anything either! I sent an email asking what is going on. Man, I REALLY regret not getting it on amazon when I could.

        wow, that sucks.  I ordered from Amazon many months ago, and I canceled it knowing Kmart will have a $20 coupon offer.. but in the last couple of weeks I was so worried since it was listed as sold out on Amazon and everywhere else (it was even taken off Amazon’s listing)..  I actually thought of going to Best Buy yesterday to see if I could get a 2nd copy to sell or something but I was like forget it..  if I did, I wouldn’t mind selling one to you..

        That’s the tricky thing w/ Limited edition, sometimes (or most of the time) you buy at full price thinking it will be rare, then it turns out it’s not limited at all and they slash the price shortly after.. I don’t know if more Zelda bundle would be available later.. the MGS HD Limited edition is sold out everywhere as well, the Shinkawa artbook is the bomb, hard cover and huge printed on quality paper.  Sometimes LE is not practical at all (I don’t think the figures are worth the premium), but MGS and Zelda definitely are worth it.. I still haven’t opened Skyward Sword yet lol…

          I usually avoid Limited Editions as they are overpriced and, as you mentioned, usually linger on the listings for months with a lower price. Only get NISA LEs of usually or LEs of games I really like and want to support like Fate Extra or XSEED titles. Didnt get the MGS HD one because they didn’t add japanese voices. As I have always played MGS with japanese voices, it would be useless for me.

          I wanted that golden wiimote for Zelda so much though. If these people at CD Universe were taking pre-orders for inventory they didn’t have and screwed me over like this, I… well, cant do much, just speak badly of them forever I guess and never order anything from them again. So disappointed, I hope I can get my copy in the end.

    Since I don’t know Japanese (and because of that I’ve been avoiding Japan-only games lately) and only own a PSP and a PS2, Corpse Party is the game I’m going with. More support to XSEED is always good too~ :3
