Chrono Trigger For iPhone And Android Has DS Bonus ContentSquare Enix is bringing Chrono Trigger to smartphones with an iOS and Android port. This version of the game is based on the 2008 release on Nintendo DS.

The Reptite fetch quests in The Lost Sanctum and the Dimensional Vortex dungeon are in Chrono Trigger for iOS and Android. That means you can claim the Valor Crest, which makes Ayla unstoppable and see an extra ending that connects directly with Chrono Cross.

Chrono Trigger for iOS is available today in Japan and the Android version is slated for release later this month.

    Ohhhh yeah.  Android 8D

What about the Android version? Will it be released in Europe?

Hopefully. I know I’ll be getting it if it does, one can’t have too much Chrono games :3

I’d like some confirmation about it, I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 and I’d like to play Chrono Trigger and other games from the Square Enix Android Market on it. :( Oh, sorry for my bad language anyway, I want this version because of the first official italian translation (after 16 years) too.

Oh, it was never translated to Italian before? I thought it had been. Being portuguese, I’m not used to games being translated. Well, Sony has been making an effort in the past couple of years to translate their major titles for the ps3 and the Vita to portuguese, but it’s something we’re just not used to, so I’m okay with english translation releases at least.

And SE has been saying they’ll get their iOS games on Android as well, so, I think this will as well, eventually.

We just have an amazing fan translation for the SNES Version, but yes, this is the first official italian translation. I’d like it in english too for Android, but I only want to be sure that it will be released outside Japan.

I’m glad it does, since the DS was like the definitive version. Even though the Lost Sanctum and Dimensional Vortex dungeons/sidequests are painfully boring and repetitive.

Some of the worst extra content ever. If I ever play Chrono Trigger again, I’m gonna skip these extra dungeons as they are long, boring, and feel like rom hacks. Also, doing htem just makes you way overpowered for the rest of the game. What a “bonus”.
