Disgaea 4 Has Dengeki Online… Weapons

By Spencer . December 20, 2011 . 12:27am

Disgaea 4 Has Dengeki Online… WeaponsInstead of Zeus’ lightning bolt, Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten will have the deadly Dengeki lightning bolt.

Dengeki PlayStation will include codes to download two special weapons – the Dengeki spear and Dengeki staff. Nippon Ichi also collaborated with Sony Computer Entertainment to make Toro weapons (pictured), which have not bee announced overseas. We may not get these items because after all, we missed out on the Toro DLC from Disgaea 3.

I didn’t know that Disgaea 3 had these kinds of weapons :l, that sucks so yeah we probably won’t see it in america

I have a little question about Disgaea 4. See, I have this Healer, and I want to teach it offensive magic such as fire, but I don’t know how. I heard that ever since Disgaea 3, the master/student relationship is removed, so can someone clue me in on how? I never did play Disgaea 3, just to let people know.

Unfortunately, this is only possible in Disgaea 1 and 2. I wish it was possible but…

Uh, it’s plenty possible and OverlordZetta just basically nailed it.  It’s very possible to have someone get all the spells if you want to.  The PROBLEM is how much you can use at one time, which is 16, but you can learn many more (I believe the cap is either 128 or 255).

I’ve offset most of the problem by using said method on a Professor/Mother Brain.  All Tera Offensive spells, Tera Heal, Buff/Debuff spells and I chose to go the Bow route on her and got all 8 of the special skills on her.  Unfortunately, I didn’t get ALL the space to put all the buff/debuffs on there but the important ones were there.

However, you can go above 16 with a Professor because of her innate skills.  Amazing Throwing, Too Many Criticals, etc.  That said, my Professor is about the best I’ve got for magical and long range support/offense right now.

Then I probably overlooked that in wrongest way.

            It’s okay. :)

You’ll be using the Chara World this go round. Put your healer into an evil symbol with a mage or whatever else knows the skills you want to pass on, then go through the healer’s chara world to teach it the skills.

Chara World, as it turns out, is much more convenient, quicker, and efficient than 1/2′s method (if you ask me) so long as you’re willing to go through 10 floors (the mystery room on the 9th floor will teach the skill, but there are bonuses all throughout) for whatever you want; skills, evilities, what have you.

Thank you. Yahoo answers friggin’ sucks. It’s better to ask here. :)

        • OverlordZetta

No worries. I’ve personally found Chara World super helpful and a lot faster than the original system ever was, and once you get a handle on it, if you’re willing to reincarnate your characters (there’s a limit to how many times you can go in per “life”), you can basically give them whatever you want in a very, very short amount of time.

Fantastic system once you get the hang of it, and major props to NIS for it.

So much for that. That Toro spear looks great.

  • OverlordZetta

Pity that NIS/NISA haven’t prepared some sort of equal thing that we could get overseas. If they’re like 3′s, I assume they’re all free again too, right?

A bunch of free, themed weapons like that sure would be nice.

To be honest, I lost interest in D4 quicker than D3…mostly because of how quickly I blitzed through it and the fact that the DLC currently doesn’t interest me all that much.  It’s just a re-hash for what they did with D3 and that wasn’t really worth the 50 or so dollars I spent on it.  After getting Biggus Stickus and beating Pringer X in LoC, there’s really not much of anything left to do, even with DLC.

although i think disgaea 4 did alot more stuff as far as post game is concerned then previous disgaea games; i do think they should of added more content especially for the main campaign. I personally think disgaea would benefit from anime cut scenes, some of the in game cut scenes don’t give the game justice.

what we really need is a HD 2d fighting game starring NIS characters

    • OverlordZetta

DLC taking so long to come out (it started coming out right away over there) combined with how they’re overcharging for it really killed the interest for me as well, in the game and in the DLC. At least D3R has all the neat new stuff built in.
