Aquapazza, Examus Fighting Game With Utawarerumono Leads, Is Coming HomeAquaplus teased they have a big announcement coming up and it’s probably this – Aquapazza, their crossover fighting game, is coming to consoles. The news about a port came from Comiket, but details like platforms and possible enhancements were not revealed.

 

Examu, makers of the Arcana Heart games, developed Aquapazza for arcades. The fighting game includes characters from ToHeart, Tears to Tiara, Comic Party, and Utawarerumono. Before a fight begins, players chose a main fighter to control and a partner character they can call out for assist attacks.

    Oh hell yes! Played this in the arcades and loved it. Multi and Konomi were so fun to use.

    I played this in the arcades. Even though I’ve pulverized and beaten to the ground by many Japanese gamers who wanted to face me at the arcades, I still say that this is a very well done game. X3

    I hope someday that this game will come to the consoles as well:

    And I hope that both Daemon Bride and this game will be localized, because they are really fun.

      yea daemon bride is easily examu’s best game, and easily the best bgm’s as well, i’d kill for that game on console, and undernight in-birth as well!

      Nah, more like PS3.

      Tears To Tiara and its Gaiden both came out on the PS3.  Considering that even Utawarerumono and To Heart 2 came out on the PS3, I really wouldn’t be surprised if this fighting game were to show up on the PS3.

        every single character on that game are from game that have been released on PS1, PS2, PS3, or PSP  (except comipa that also have Dreamcast version)

        so yeah high chance it will be PS3 or Vita

        I doubt it will be PS360 multiplat , because aquaplus is the IP owner and Publisher

        PC release are much more possible than 360 release

    I can’t imagine this getting localized since it would probably be a licensing nightmare, but assuming it’s the 1.5A version that added Sasara I’ll gladly import it. Arcana Heart 3 was my favorite fighter this year and it really made me appreciate Examu.

    Hopefully Arc System Works is also helping with the console version again like they did for AH3, since that would mean more of their amazing netcode.

      Um they’re are all game characters made by the same company.

      The problem have to do more with brand recognition of the said games in the west, where it has practically none beside the small niche of fanbase that make Atlus and the like niche fanbase looks massive in comparison.

        To Heart name is big and Utawareruno and Tears to tiara maybe have decent brand recognition among  anime fans.(most of character coming from title that already have an anime adaptation)

        I believe Tama-nee is popular among otaku even outside japan, and ogata rina is voiced by mizuki nana, so I think the brand recognition probably big enough for niche market in western world (maybe even bigger than Arcana Heart)

          I highly doubt it, as both games aren’t even released outside Japan, and To Heart anime is old.

          I think White Album is even worse than To Heart, having one big name seiyuu wouldn’t be enough incentive.

            To Heart 2 not to old tough, they’ve been constantly releasing OVA every year, To Heart 2 Dungeon Traveler  OVA is coming soon. even if it is old  i think to heart brand recognition is still quite strong, most non mainstream animefans could easily recognize to heart uniform:P

            like you said the main problem probably is that no leaf/aquaplus game ever released in the west yet.

    Here’s hoping it’s a ps3 release for the sake of importing.

    Would be cool if they were to work with ASW for the port too.

    I hope ASW does the same thing that they did with arcana heart 3 and localizes it adding their fantastic netcode

    2012 is going to be another monster year for fighting games and I love it.
    Persona 4, Skullgirls, SF x Tekken and so on.

    Announce now a new Guilty Gear and Darkstalkers and I will have nothing else to ask.

      Already been said there will be no new Guilty Gear to blazblue is done and even then still kinda looks bleak.

    Now that’s good news, hope it’s PSN/XBLA, or at least just for PS3/Xbox360. I don’t need Vita, but a 3DS port would be nice.

    I’ve watched a handful of videos of this but just couldn’t get into it, at least to me comes across as having to know the source material to really get the characters opo; But as terrible (and I don’t mean to be so negative) as it is to say I really couldn’t get into Arcana Hearts 3 either T3T’ I tried, but just wasn’t my thing I guess. Either way at least next year is already a full plate for fighters so it’s not like it’ll be the only one out there >w<'

    Just what i was thinking on the “Atlus teases article + Nippon Ichi +  aqua+” article! XD

    Its HAS to be this. I just want my Utawarerumono characters to bash it out to be honest XD Everything else is like a SUPER bonus to me. Come on Aquaplus X3

    Aquapazza would be like the first arcade fighter port for us in like forever. We wont be getting Tekken 6 until years end(most likely mid fall)… A new crossover anime fighting game is just what i need X3
