Have A PlayStation Vita? Give Sumioni: Demon Arts A Try Later This Month

Acquire is working on an action game where you control a demon and draw platformers with magic ink called Sumioni: Demon Arts. The PlayStation Vita title lets players cast spells and summon creatures by drawing symbols… hey, instead of us telling you about it you can try it.

 

A Sumioni demo will be available on Japan’s PlayStation Store on January 24 ahead of the title’s February 9 launch. Xseed will release Sumioni overseas in spring 2012.

      Is everything that uses calligraphy brush stroke patterns “Okami” now?

        It probably will be for at least one or two more gaming generation. Until a new game that utilizes that mechanic gets great popularity amongst the newer mainstream audience to the point where they’ll outnumber the previous gaming generation and begin wrongfully stating that said game was the originator or the best in what it does.
