It’s a new year and that means new modules for Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Arcade. Sega announced just announced two of them. Recognize the costume Luka is dressed in?

The “Angel” module for Hatsune Miku and the “VF Suit” will be available for the arcade game on January 10.

Prior to this, Sega included modules based on their other games in Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Extend, including one from Virtua Fighter: Kaito had a Kage-Maru module.

    Oh, I remember the Virtual Fighter Luka Megurine costume. I’ve seen alot pictures of her on many sites awhile back.

    You know, I just woke up and I swear I thought I was going to see Miku in a Virtua Fighter game, for some reason. It’s the other way around. （*＾ワ＾*）

      Aoihana… I think you are the only person who knows about this well… who exactly is Hatsune Miku? I’ve seen this name and this character almost everywhere around, I’ve always been wondering who she is or where she’s from.

        Hatsune Miku is essentially a virtual pop idol, and among one of the many Vocaloid’s(Virtual idols). She was developed by Crypton Future Media using Yamaha’s singing synthesizer, Vocaloid. The artist KEI then brought Miku to life by creating a design, or avatar. Miku’s voice is actually sampled from Fujita Saki’s voice. Producers use Vocaloid to create songs that we all know and love today.

          Oh, thanks a lot, I was having some doubts about her. I always thought she was from some Anime series, but never thought she was a some sort of virtual idol for music. Interesting the things we find out right?

    I wish PJD Arcade had been released as a PS3 game. It would be nice to play a PJD game on the big screen for once. I dont wanna get Dreamy Theatre. Here’s hoping the next game they teased for 2012 is for the Vita at least. n_n

    Gosh, those graphics are nice
    I guess since it is on a standalone arcade machine, they don’t really have to worry about hardware limitations unlike games on console, and decide to push the spec of the machines to the max to suit the game
    These kind of graphics are what blurring the lines between pre-rendered CG and real time rendering CG
