Extreme Escape Adventure: Good People Die Has How Many Endings?

By Spencer . January 11, 2012 . 12:31am

Extreme Escape Adventure: Good People Die Has How Many Endings?Altogether, Extreme Escape Adventure: Good People Die has 24 endings, according to Famitsu magazine. The ending changes depending on decisions players make and who lives and who doesn’t.

The scenario lock system locks some routes until Sigma can fulfill certain requirements. When you replay the game Sigma, the protagonist, retains his memories because he (well, the other Sigma) is from a parallel world.

Extreme Escape Adventure: Good People Die has two difficulty levels, hard and easy. Pick easy and the characters you enter rooms with will give you hints. In addition to searching for items with the touch screen, Chunsoft added block pushing puzzles as a mini-game.

Extreme Escape Adventure: Good People Die comes out on February 16.

    This needs to come over

  • Phlo

This is sounding even better than 999. Aksys, we’re counting on you!

  • http://kuroneko772.blog.jeuxvideo.com/ KuroNeko77

So that’s 4 times more endings that 999… like the game didn’t sound awesome enough to begin with.

i don’t like the new slutty clover

  • http://twitter.com/AubertAlexander Alexander Aubert

I’M EXCITED FOR THIS GAME (just now)!

  • PsychedelicDreams

    LOCALIZE!!!! :D

  • http://twitter.com/rokuso3 Victoria

24 endings… That’s A LOT. I hope they aren’t as stupid and premature as some of Remember11 endings XDD.

    • João Madalena

Yeah remember11 was great except the endings, especially the true ending.

  • http://www.facebook.com/shawn.dickenson1 Shawn SomethingOtaku Dickenson

24 endings………….. PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT *BOOM*  its like shadow the emohog with like 11 ending  I hope the endings in the game isnt lame

yikes, that sound like a lot of text.  Might hurt the chances for a localization.

    • AzureNova

Nope. I still want it. lol

24 Endings sounds brutal, Definitely will love if someone makes an ending guide, seems like it would be a simple yet tedious game to platinum on vita. Hopefully the game is fully voiced? I cant imagine reading the same text 24 times, brutal.

    • http://www.facebook.com/michael.kelehan Michael Kelehan

The JP release will be fully voiced, but I’m willing to bet the US release won’t be.

If it’s anything like 999 (and every piece of information I read leads me to believe it’s deliciously like 999), you’ll be able to hold down a button and hyperspeed through text the game knows you’ve seen. When the text slows back down, you’ll know it’s something that’s new to you.

    • Dokurochan

You probably wouldn’t need to re-read anything because most games like this have a skip button that lets you skip any previously read text. And I wouldn’t really be getting too excited about there being 24 endings because in my experience, games like this with high amounts of endings the majority are just abrupt bad endings that don’t really add that much to the story.

Hopefully this time players will actually get some clues about how to get the good ending. As much as I enjoyed 999, you could only really get the true end through a process of elimination or by using a guide.

There were actually videos in the game that gave you the numbered doors you’d need to go through…but it was a terrible clue, >_>

  • http://twitter.com/Lucas3015 Lucas Fair

Uh! I enjoyed 999!! This looks interesting. Can’t wait to see it!

24 endings?! Thank the heavens for the text skip…

I’ll be looking at gamefaqs when this game comes up….

  • meat0bun

If they don’t add an option to skip completed puzzles, I’m going to rage.

“OH BOY, I’m having so much fun getting out of this damn freezer for the 12th time.”

  • http://twitter.com/sheleigha Shel

I can’t wait for Aksys to announce this as one of their mystery titles! *ah-hem* :p

  • Pichi

I hope there isn’t a “true” ending that would require you to get ending such and such to unlock.

    • João Madalena

Im pretty sure there is going to be one, otherwise how would you link every ending together, every visual novel has one.

      • http://geekouts.blogspot.com/ miruki

It’s not always required to unlock it via other endings. But it makes sense in most cases, as it’s often hard to get the full grasp of everything that’s going on in every characters head without having seen certain events and endings.

I’ve had it happen quite a few times that I strongly disliked characters in some visual novel games until I hit certain routes that explained more about the characters behaviour and made me like the character more or at least understand why they reacted in such hateful ways. Knowing that stuff did make me enjoy and understand other routes better as well. While I don’t really like being forced down a certain route, in some cases it really is needed.

As long as you can skip text in this one, I’m all fine with unlocking all endings. ;>

        • Joanna

Skipable text! Yes! That should be mandatory for games with routes that cover a fair bit of the same ground (and I love multiple routes). It was a blessing in 999 as I did all the endings in one playthrough (no weeks or months in between different routes, one right after the other, not all in one sitting of course xD )

    • Joanna

Aw, why not? I love true endings that require you to finish the other endings since the whole story isn’t spoiled to you on your first playthrough and you gradually learn more, which I really liked about 999. :3

I need this game in my life ASAP!!
24 endings, oh man, I can only imagine…/maybe/ Sigma gets one ending with each character or something and the rest are…a mystery~

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002338540980 Ethan Russell

Want this game more than ever to come out in PAL regions(why does the 3ds need to be region locked, and why didnt i hold out till vita)

  • http://thrust-the-sky.deviantart.com/ WildArms

Holy crap so many endings lol, i hope there is more individual endings too, as in, X character ending, and not just, taking an example from 999, axe (gasp) ending xD

    • GaiunxWolfenX

hahaha oh yeah i remember that was certainly confusing if you stopped playing the game for a month (happened to me) and that ending was CREEPY!!!! never again i’ll trust a girl in need with pink hair!!!!… but if her name is Lacus Clyne i will be blind and help her XD

  • Hours

Four times as many endings as 999? XD

I need this game. NEED IT. C’mon Aksys, you know you want to announce it.

  • http://twitter.com/BurnMyApathy BurnMyApathy

Want. Want want want want want.

    That is all.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_WTGTV26CSO2QQ54JR54MRYEPU4 Ashkon

Awesome news, but why include a big spoiler.  That’s really annoying.

  • PrinceHeir

    i want these now!!!!

  • neetyneety

Apparently, in one of the endings everyone – wait for it…. – dies!

    • PsychedelicDreams

      But where’s sigma? ;D

      XD

    • Joanna

Reminds of a certain bad ending in the DS 999 game. I like it~

  • http://twitter.com/ExceptionL ExceptionL

Announce it in NA and I’ll buy 9 Copies. forcing 8 people to play through the game with me, that way I can get the true ending faster, without even asking them.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Clover-Signaire/100003153425030 Clover Signaire

24.. endings.. that is amazing. I WILL buy it when it comes out! :D

  • Joanna

The parallel (or [possible] alternate timelines) theme of 999 is back I see. I wonder if Morphogenetic fields will play a roll in this game or if Churnsoft is going to use another fairly recent and out there theory as the backbone for the story. I hope they do~ I was already familiar with morphogenetic field theory, but it would be neat if the next one was something I was totally unfamiliar with. :3

    Also YES 24 endings~ I’m ready! >:)
And I will just believe Aksys is already starting to set the stage for localization and we shall see this game in North America (and hopefully Europe too).

    • neetyneety

haha, indeed, it shall be nice to see what other fictional (or-not-so-fictional) theory they incorporate into the story… the whole thing with ice-9 and the morphogenetic field thing was really well done; they actually had me believing it at one point. XD

Though I think they’ll still use the morphogenetic field to some extent; hence Sigma’s retaining of memories and parallel timelines.

      • Joanna

Yeah, it was really well done. Although they stretched the theory in weird ways so it wasn’t really the exact thing. More fiction than fact. xD

Yeah that seems to be the case with Sigma, but I hope they add something new into the mix as well.
