Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition Has 6 On 6 Fights And Online PlayPokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition, a crossover between Game Freak and Tecmo Koei, capitalizes on Sengoku fever by pairing Nobunaga with Zekrom. A scan from Jump revealed three more pairs: Chosokabe Motochika and Dewott (Futachimaru), Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Moferno (Moukasaru), and Mori Motonari and Servine (Janovy). Players will be able to fight in 6-on-6 battles using standard Pokémon rules, but each warrior only has one Pokémon. Instead of Gym Leaders, Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition has 17 castles to conquer in the game’s single player mode.

 

Nintendo also added a multiplayer mode, which lets players battle each other online over Nintendo Wi-Fi. Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition is scheduled to come out in Japan for Nintendo DS on March 17.

      6 on 6 fights and online play and you conquer castles in feudal era Japan alongside historical figures that have been bishounen’d/biseinen’d/bishoujo’ed with Pokemons, seems pretty clear to me.

        And also, this is a highly different beast from Mario Kart. Competitiveness is one thing but this requires strategy, knowledge of the playing field, of your opposition, flexibility, some nimbleness of thought and possibly the ability to make flowcharts.

      Plot Hole? Hmm Maybe the truth is during the Warring States Era people fight using………. zombies, frankenstein, homonculus…… damn i must be drunk now.

      Not necessarilly. Assuming the setting is seperate from the ones in the original games (basically, if it’s an alternative continuity), MewTwo might have a different origin story in this one. For example, he might have a more natural origin or he is simply a Mew who was empowered by a sorcerer or an artifact using magic.

      Time travel could also be used as an explanation, but that would be preety lame.

    using standard Pokémon rules what? so online the game play changes back to turn base?

      I suspect it will play more like pokemon dungeon with turn based combat disguised as real time exploration. Took me quite a long time before half-way through the latest dungeon explorer for the DS that it was turn based

    I know some of u guys may find it difficult to accept Mewtwo’s appereance due to timeline issues, but when it comes to Nobunaga’s Ambition u gotta also analyse the details, the fact is that the character controlling Mewtwo is Uesugi Kenshin who was one of the most powerful lords of the Sengoku period and dominated Japan’s Kanto region, and anyone who has ever played early Pokemon games know that Mewtwo is the strongest Pokemon of Kanto. So considering these details, I do think Mewtwo fits well Kenshin character in this game.
