The Mysterious Turtle That Guards Dragon Quest X’s Human Village

Dragon Quest X: Waking of the Five Tribes begins with a sixth race, humans. You start out as a human character in Etene Village, which is protected by a mysterious turtle deity called Kame-sama. The turtle tells the villagers the protagonist is a heaven-sent child.
