Suikoden: The Woven Web Of A Century Goes To Battle

As reported on Siliconera earlier, Suikoden: The Woven Web of a Century has a six character battle system. The game uses a turn based battle system where three characters are in front and three are in the rear.

The heroes in Suikoden: The Woven Web of a Century are novice fighters who learn skills from their ancestors in battle. You can master eight different job classes: swordsman, magician, lancer, archer, martial artist, ninja, bard, and chemist. At dinner time you can also learn a sub job like blacksmith.

Suikoden: The Woven Web of a Century comes out on February 9 in Japan.

    wow, this looks awesome!
Let’s pray for a localization fellow Suikoden Fans. Even if this Suikoden is from the Multiverse of TierKries, it’s still a Suikoden and looks rather promising 8)

Looking at those screens, I can almost hear that signature Suikoden victory fanfare.

  • Novac

This could be the last big psp rpg in the west (if it comes)

This is pretty much the only thing im looking forward to, those legend of heroes games will probably never come and if they do they will probably only be digital-only garbage.

    • Hraesvelgr

Digital only release will always be better than no release at all. I prefer boxed, physical releases as much as the next guy, but if digital is the only way a game can be released, I’ll take that over either not playing it or spending some absurd amount to import it.

      • Novac

I would rather have nothing than be forced to go with digital.Digital stuff holds no real value and is worthless to me.

Totally praying that this comes to the west. Each and every time I read something about this I just keep hoping to read the headline “Suikoden: The Woven Web headed to the west!” or something along those lines..

  • Yamaneko22

I’ve enjoyed Tierkreis, so this multi dimensions thing is not a problem to me. Though, I really hope this game sells well in Japan and encourage Konami to return the old Suikoden world and bringing some kind of final conclusion…

This game looks wonderful and gorgeous. It looks like a perfect clash of old and new rpg ideas. I’m really hoping this one succeds domestically.

If Konami doesn’t bring this one over, I’ll just import it, I need to play this.

    • Jirin

I had the same thought but I imagine it’s harder to follow in a translation guide than, say, a Tales game.

    • caleb1993

Same here. I’ll even learn Japanese just to be able to play this. It looks so good.

I want this Digimon and Shining Blade to be localized

    • Yamaneko22

Adding Valkyria Chronicles III to this;)

  • caleb1993

This game looks astounding. Why is it that all the amazing PSP games are released after the system has been declared dead in the west? Anyways, I’ll import this if I must as I refuse to miss out on this game.

Hopefully they can localize this game and put it on the PSN as a download-only game. I would prefer that way if it means I can play it in english.

  • JustThisOne

I’m not going to lie… I’m going to make everyone a ninja.

    • Yamaneko22

Unless there will be some hidden Chuck Norris-like class O_O

  • Michael Lawrence

    Oh my..do want, hardcore.

You what I really hate about Suikoden 3 and Tierkreis….
    The Protagonist TALKS!!!!!

  • PrinceHeir

i just hope they should give us Suikoden II on PSN as well as III-V for PS2 classics :D
