Arc System Works Bringing Shifting World To Japan

By Spencer . January 30, 2012 . 2:32pm

Arc System Works picked up publishing duties for Shifting World or as it’s called in Japan Shifting World: The Black and White Labyrinth. The Nintendo 3DS game is based on the popular Flash game Shift where players swap colors to change what their character is standing on. Shifting World has new graphics and 3D puzzles made for the 3DS.

I just love the monochrome style/feel of this one.

Yeahhh this game looks interesting. Well at least i hope this one won’t be too expensive.

Title and pic kinda makes me think that they’re just replacing the sprite for the game Shift with Taito’s Mr. Exit as lead.

Reminds me of LIMBO with, what looks to be, a puzzle orientated gameplay. Eager to see how this turns out.

Intriguing. Someone I know once made a game like this, and I am one of the few people who managed to beat that game. I am always interested in seeing if these guys did it better or worse than he did.

I hope this uses the 3D in creative ways ala Pushmo or something.
