First Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Goods Are Coffee Tumblers And Playing CardsThis year is the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy and the 15th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII. Naturally, Square Enix is going to commemorate this milestone with new goods

 

Square Enix will release a collection of tumblers at the end of March. You can get Final Fantasy XIII-2 lightning, Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy chocobos, Advent Children Cloud and Sephiroth or a tumbler with the 25th anniversary logo for 1,900 yen ($25). Each tumbler holds 420ml of liquid and is heat resistant for drinks up to 80°C.

A set of Final Fantasy themed playing cards will be released in the middle of April for 1,200 yen ($16). These cards feature 54 pieces of art from the Final Fantasy series and are different from the Final Fantasy Trading Card game cards.

    Cloud Strife, Sephirot & Lightning. I DO love them, but why with them only? Are they somehow involved in this new mr. Nomura’s project. Like FINAL FANTASY VII x XIII ~25th anniversary~. lol no that’s too crazy.

    I wish they just gave us DISSIDIA TRIODECIM or whatever it’s gonna be called for the PS3, Vita or 3DS.

        On serious note, that looks really cool. Too awesome to actually use. XD If I had it, I couldn’t imagined dirtying it even if it’s suppose to be used.

          I know, exactly… the cup just looks so nice I don’t want to dirty it.. it’s still in the wrapper in a box, I just display it like a trophy lol..  I bought some mug coasters for Steins;Gate and can’t stand to use them either *.*..   I like the chocobo and moogle cups more because I’ve seen the other pics a lot of alrdy.. even though Sephie and Lightning do look cool..

          I think I read about the Rufus cup here or andriasang and then went ahead to get it.. I think it was to commemorate him being the new Shinra President :)  I haven’t taken it out and drank from it though :(..

    J/K.Personally i don’t care that much to be honest.I still play my PS1 version from time to time and enjoy it almost as much as i did the first time i played it.:)

      Current technology just isn’t good enough for a remake worthy of the fans. Expect that remake on the 777th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII. It will be a live-action real-time mmorpg, except it’s all real. Real materia. Real summons. Real swords. Real ATB bars. Real Shinra. Here’s how you play it.

      Player 1 will sign up to join the (real) military when he’s young, and after years of (real) training, become a (real) first-class SOLDIER. And then he dies (phoenix down will not work) in battle, and his best friend (player 2) has to carry on the good fight, while blocking out his memories due to trauma. All other players will take the roles of the NPCs and other characters.

      I think it will be great… to watch. =D

      I’d rather see a localization of FF7: Before Crisis for one of the handhelds. I think that the guy behind that game stated that the 3DS may be the opportune handheld to port to.

    My first positive surprise on actions of Squeenix since FF4DS’ announcement, the cards actually include chibi Rosa. I thought with the way Squeenix has been these days, and their obsession with whoring Rydia exclusively, that Rosa would’ve been left out of these like any other time.

    Chocobo mug, and the Dissidia deck of cards are pretty neat! Shame there isn’t a villain Dissidia deck to go along with it >w<' But yeah, all a little too pricey for me.

    Their coffee mugs are the worst quality ever. I had bought a Cactuar one last time I went to the Square-Enix store. The drawing you see is nothing but a piece of paper that you have to remove when you wash the mug. It gets wrinkled over time just because you have to take it our and stuff it back in constantly. Not worth it.

    They did a great job with all the other cards though. Although I don’t see any Aces. Oh i know! make those Agito and Versus. Agito was gonna be card related anyway(Still kinda is with the names) and Versus seriously needs some more publicity.

    Only 80°C?! Well, there goes my plan to store molten lava in one of those…

    On a more serious note, those look really nice. Plus, they seem quite reasonably priced.

    Both the Moogle and Chocobo Tumblers look great. Also, Kefka and Gilgamesh as Jokers? Brilliant! I liked the Dissidia and Amano decks but not feeling the others. Like Code mentioned, would have been cooler if they made one with Dissidia villains and perhaps the last deck with some more Amano art.
