Ace, Boa, Brook, And Whitebeard Playable In One Piece: Pirate WarriorsFour more characters are confirmed for One Piece: Pirate Warriors. Portgas D. Ace, Brook, Boa Hancock, and Whitebeard are playable in Omega Force’s One Piece game.

 

After a level ends, players are rewarded with a coin bounty, which you can use to level characters up. You can raise three stats: vitality, offense, and defense.

 

One Piece: Pirate Warriors comes out in Japan on March 1.

    Looks like this game has triumphed over Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 and Bleach Soul Resurrection as 4th best anime based game ever (after the three Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games, until DWG4 with Flit, Asemu, and Desil with Zedas R and G-Exes).  Ace is epic! People were all like he wouldnt be playable and wow, my favorite and most epic One Piece character is! Now if we can get Sabo too!!!!

    Ace, Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, will be who I will enjoy to play as the most! Day 1 Baby Day 1!!!!1

    Brook, I expected. Ace as well- but WHITEBEARD? Even Boa Hancock? That IS pretty awesome, already a larger and more varied roster of characters than Ken’s Rage got. The leveling system seems kinda barebones from the sound of things..

    has there been any word on localisation yet? because this sounds like an absolutely awesome One Piece game. looking at the trailers too it didn’t look like it suffered too badly from repetitive combos (which is typically why I don’t like these kind of games) but this looks completely amazing! One Piece FTW!

      there was a leak a while back saying about koei techmo was planing to release one piece pirate warriors in the us.

      One thing that’s helping a lot to break from the repetitive combat feel from other Warrior titles is that they’re breaking the tradition of making triangle the end of a combo.

      There’s a small short video out on youtube displaying more of the combat and one combo that was displayed was Square Square Triangle Square. Which to anyone who’s played a lot of Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors/Etc Warriors knows is… well, is very new and thankfully opens up a lot of combat possibilities and complexity that’s been missing and is a natural evolution of the combat system.

    You know, for the past few articles, I was like: 

    Isn’t there a One Piece Musou game already? I can’t believe another is out so shortly after! （￣□￣；）

    Obviously, I was mistaken. I can’t believe it hasn’t been released yet. I’ve been reading about for over half a year now! （*＾ワ＾*）

    Well, I’m not too fond of the Dynasty Warriors engine, but I might give it a try sometime. (◕‿◕✿)

    I really, really can’t do Dynasty Warriors anymore. BUT I’m always down for One Piece, so I’m gonna be all over this if it gets an English release. It sounded fine already, but now it has Ace. What more could you ask for?

    Brook was a given, but Ace, Boa, and the ‘Mustached Monster’ Whitebeard?! This sound like the best console One Piece game ever!! Tell me which bank I have to rob to get the funds for an English release and I’m there!  *dons a Nixon Mask and go to find an automatic weapon*

    These were all pretty predictable inclusions (which is a good thing) except Boa. She’s a noteworthy character, but I really think she shouldn’t be playable especially in a game like this. I wonder how they plan to do her moveset.

      If they can have Nami, surely they can have Hancock. Mero Mero Beam is not the only weapon in her arsenal; during the war at Marineford she is shown as a very capable martial artist.

    I have already expressed my impression on this incredible wall-breaking Musou game.Before I was very picky and sceptical.Now I can’t wait for this game. I’m already importingthis(and the treasure box).I would just like to know if there is a co-op mode similar to Hokuto. So my bro could join in on the fun as well.

    But seriously though, this is awesome news. Making Boa playable hints at the possibility of other Shichibukai being playable as well. Here’s hoping for Crocodile and Mihawk. I’m also surprised at the reveal of Whitebeard, Ace was a given however. Each new update is better and better for this game, can’t wait for the NA release!

      Wonder just how broken Whitebeard will be.

      I can just picture his Musou attack right now. Stab the floor to let go of his weapon, tighten his fists and smash the air around him cracking it up into an aerial quake! (don’t ask, his power just breaks the fabric of space)
