Rune Factory 4 Bride Hides A Monster WithinFamitsu has some more details about Rune Factory 4 and the 3DS sequel won’t make its targeted spring release. The magazine lists Rune Factory 4 as a July title and introduced two potential spouses.

 

Kohaku is described as a cute girl with a butterfly monster lurking within. Female characters can marry Dylan who is described as a cool looking dude with long hair.

      No, they’ve been very strict on that. The only harvest moon game that allows for that is the JPN version of DS Cute, and it was seen as an oversight and removed from all international versions.

      They make sure it won’t happen again.

            kinda sad that yuri or yaoi options are still so taboo in RF. . . i mean; why could you date girls as a little kid in RF2 (even as the feMC). . . and that was almost implied bigamy lol

            oh well, I just want to have a little freedom with my choices in RF4 is all.

            and yuri is always my top choice in any game with romance.

            You might not realize it, but harvest Moon games seem to be very popular with the types of kids int eh US who have over protective parents. My 15 year old sister has been playing them rabidly since she was 12 or something. Has has all the GBA, DS, and Wii harvest Moon games, it would seem.

            While my mom would probably let it pass now that she is in high school, if she were to have seen yuri stuff in the game back when my sister was 12 she probably wouldn’t own all those harvest moon games.

            So in other words we need a series with similar game play geared towards an older audience.

         Don’t forget rune factory 3 did have a phoenix well and a mermaid which are not human but monsters.

      Oh, that’s nothing~ 7th Dragon 2020 ups the ante by introducing a Butterfly Dragon. And it’s a boss monster that absolutely loves showering your party with one status effect after another.

      Ah~ What a wonderful battle that was…

          It’s a great game! Fans of both Etrian Odyssey and the first 7th Dragon should get it. It’s the most streamlined and accessible rendition of the formula yet.

    I know I shouldn’t be complaining…. but is there a next Rune factory on the console?
    I just don’t like camera view of the handheld ones especially when it comes to fighting…

    Dylan is possibly the male univir I’ve wanted since RF3 (*^*) although it looks like he’s just a unicorn rather than a univir if the black unicorn next to him in a scan is any indication.

    Butterfly monster. Huh, it almost sounds like an oxymoron, LOL!

    I can’t wait to see all the bachelors side by side, though. It was an easy call on Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny, but we’ll see on this one…

        Yes, only having four bachelors was kind of disappointing, honestly. As much I as I like James, it would’ve been nice to have other choices than the shy quiet kid (Bismarck), the loudmouth (Joe), and the dull protagonist (Aden).

        …Though I still probably would’ve chosen James, even with other choices. XD

    Being a Rune Factory game, I can only imagine there is a symbiotic relationship between koharu and the monster and neither wants something bad happen to the other. It´s hard to picture it as an Alien movie.

    Yup, well, actually, his name ISN’T Dylan- It’s Dylas, or Dilas, or however you want to romanize it, but not Dylan. It’s like how Natsume got Gwen from Sarah. Come on people! No need to change these things!

      That’s always what bugs me most about them. I personally think they should keep the Japanese names, regardless. But changing Chihaya, I kinda sorta (not really) get, but Mai or Anise? What? I just don’t get that. vov
