Disgaea 3: Absence Of Detention Patch Adds Photo Mode And Sony Cats Weapons

Nippon Ichi released a free update for Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention that adds a few features to the PlayStation Vita version. You get early access to the Reflection Room, which lets you save even more characters than the largest classroom size.

Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention also gets a rear touchpad camera zoom feature (hold square + L then touch) and an in-game camera. With the patch installed, you can press the PS Home button and start to take photos. Players will also be able to find Sony cats Toro and Kuro in the game plus Toro Sword and Kuro Axe weapons in Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention.

Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention comes out in North America in April.

Hold square *and* L then use the reas touch pad to zoom?  I appreciate having a button press so you don’t start zooming accidentally, but that seems excessive…not to mention awkward.

Toro and Kuro weapons have always been japanese version only if I recall correctly.
Would be really nice if they were included in our version as well this time.

That makes me wonder why Sony and 3rd parties cant use those mascots outside Japan.

Wow PS Vita games can get patched? well thats good news.

just hope the patches don’t end the same size as the ps3 ones, especially with the memory cards so small

Depends on the content. A bug fix to improve load times will obv be smaller than a multiplayer patch with loads of maps.

hell yeah i also didn’t knew!!

      definitely a plus :D

does the 3DS get’s patch too(Since it can update via firmware)

An update that allows you to take photos in-gmae and the reflection Room?
Can’t wait to try that out soon. I wonder if the North American version will already have these features? Hard to say.

Well it’s pretty cool that they are still adding things. Can’t wait to get this game.

I think every game should have a in-game screenshot option.

Considering the fact that there will be no video output option for TVs for the Vita, it’s very useful for things like Let’s Plays.

    • Testsubject909

Taking pictures is mainly useful for the written Let’s Play style.

For the video type that goes around on Youtube… Yeah no, it’d be nice to figure out a setup for that.

    Ah, Speak of the devil!
I just posted on the Toro in Katamari cameo XD
    Yep, Toro weapon ftw.
