Final Fantasy XIII-2 Sazh Scenario Coming In February

Final Fantasy XIII 2 Sazh Scenario Coming In FebruaryFamitsu also has details about future Final Fantasy XIII-2 downloadable content. The magazine says Noel’s knight costume and Serah’s swimsuit will be available as paid DLC at the end of February. Costumes will cost 300 yen ($4) on PSN or 240 Microsoft Points on XBLA.

 

Square Enix is also preparing a side story starring Sazh. Titled "Heads or Tails" this episode will also add new games to the casino. You can play Trump (it’s like Spades) another mini-games. The Sazh episode is slated for release on February 28 for 600 yen ($8) on PSN or 400 Microsoft Points.

    This is a bit of a relief.  I was expecting this to be $15 after their Deus Ex expansion pricing, and packing in the card games with this is a great call.

    This is great news! My love for this game keeps growing more and more each day.
    I’m still not quite finished with the main story because I’m taking my sweet time enjoying every moment in it and because there’s an awful lot of things to do!

    More (low price)DLCs=even more things to do. I’m okay with this! Keep ‘em coming SE!

      Its just the exchange rate… dollar is worthless compared to the yen now. It’ll probably be the same price for PSN store in America.

    Supposing the amount of content matches it, I think $8 is a fine price for a DLC content patch like this. But I wonder what the gameplay of it will be like. Does this take Noel and Serah on a ‘Sazh express’ as it runs through what he’s been up to, or are they replaced with Sazh and Dajh themselves as the main player characters?

      I’m with you in spirit, but I’d feel bad raining on anyone’s Sazh parade. He seemed to be the best character in 13 so more Sazh in any form is probably good news for those that bought 13-2.

    i’m abit upset about this, i knew he was going to be in the casino :/ it’s sad cause i really dont want to be playing casino games with sazh i want to be doing other stuff, it’s disappointing when your fav character is downplayed to the max, but i shall still get it

    I really hope they end up releasing “complete” disc-based versions of DLC-plagued Final Fantasy games moving forward. DLC is something I’m going to have to deal with it seems, but we have no clue what the console market will look like a few years down the line.

    I can pop Final Fantasy VII in right now, 15 years after its release, and have the game in its entirety. I don’t know if I’ll be able to say that for Final Fantasy XIII-2, and I really don’t like the idea of losing important story content because the PSN no longer exists, can’t be accessed from a PlayStation 3 or the content is no longer available period. Imagining replaying this years down the line only to realize that all of this wonderful, ultra convenient digital content is inaccessible. Enjoy your incomplete game.

    So, do your DLC Square. Then release an all encompassing version when you’re done so that I can continue to own complete copies of your games like we’ve been able to the last 25 years.

    That said, I’m looking forward to this. The amount of Sazh that was in XIII-2 itself was criminal. You don’t give the best character from XIII a mere ~5 minutes of screen time.

      Wait, so SE does one main title with dlc and they’re activision, but All those OTHER japanese companies that been using and abusing dlc for years are a-ok?

        That’s why i said STARTING to be like activision not are like activision.
        I know it’s the first time they have dlc for a main title but for a first time it start really badly/

        Having countless preorder items, with biweekly dlc planned for 6 months even before the game was released and a main story line of around 20 hours (half of that is cut scene not actual gameplay) with a end that make it obvious there will be a XIII-3.

        If that’s not starting to be like activision then what is ?

    Yay pleased for this, the hints dropped through XIII-2 point towards a pretty interesting story arc for Sazh this time around. Looking forward to this, although I hope the new games are an addition and the DLC’s mostly focused on Sazh’s story . . . I’d hate to have three minutes of exposition and then an hour of mini-games.

    Awesome, I really liked everything about 13-2 as well, there’s alrdy a ton of things to do in the game as is, but keep the costume and scenario DLCs coming :)  Sazh’s is a bit cheaper for 360 too.. Need Serah’s resort costume and my Jihl sandwich :)!  I feel guilty for buying a premium theme the other day instead of giving Noel a costume :(…

    13-2 is good and all, but really all these DLC content will add up to one brand new game eventually. Im quite disappointed in SE as much as i like 13-2

    I don’t mind weapon and costume DLC but something like this and the other battle DLC are a bit too much of a cheap trick. All I’m saying is that they can have their fun with DLC now but I don’t want to see a repeat of this when Versus is released.

       the  story to be finish through DLC, seeing how the development team of kingdom hearts instead release Final mixes.

        Which when you think about it, is kind of a shame. Yeah many people may not like plot in DLC, but KH does the same thing, but with a whole game, that can’t be bought in the West without importing. If they did put the Final Mix stuff as DLC, then it’s more likely for more westerners to get a chance to try out the new goodies too.

    you know, i am without a PS3 right now so i have waited on getting FFXIII-2. i played XIII on the PS3 so i feel the sequel should be played there as well, even if i am primarily a 360 gamer. that said, seeing all this DLC, half of which i KNOW i will be getting (i couldn’t care less about costume DLC), i am probably just going to get the 360 version simply because of how easy it is to get MS points. using the Bing search engine gives me points, little Bing special events gives me points, buying XBLA games gives me points back, renewing my Live subscription gives me points back. hell, i can buy $20 worth of MS Points (1600 point card) for $13 bucks online or sometimes in stores. i don’t buy DLC that often (the occasional map pack or RPG expansion pack) but i want the extra battles and story scenarios very much.
