Kingdom Hearts 3D Trailer Reveals Ursula Boss, Sora On Organization XIII Throne

By Spencer . February 14, 2012 . 1:24am

Square Enix released a new video of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance which shows off the slick looking Tron: Legacy level (digitized Jeff Bridges?) and reveals Ursula from The Little Mermaid as a boss.

What I’m curious about is the end scene. Did you notice Sora were all of the Organization XIII members suddenly reappear and Sora is sitting on one of those extremely high thrones.

kh1 riku was there with sora in the ursala battle.
    now its speculation time

    • http://www.facebook.com/clifford.michael Clifford Michael

I noticed that too! Maybe it’s experiencing what the other went through in the first game?

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Rebecca-Stantic/100002926973065 Rebecca Stantic

I might be wrong here, but to me it looks like they are both in their kh1 outfits, so MORE SPECULATION

        • http://www.facebook.com/clifford.michael Clifford Michael

          It’s a tutorial, apparently.

    • http://twitter.com/willofsilver Silver Lion

Wait what? That was during the fight when Pinocchio is captured by a cage Heartless not Ursula, can you imagine a half mermaid Riku? Dammit i imagined it

      • MakoSoldier7

no, hes right. in the scene where ursula is rising out of the water laughing, riku is on a patch of land with riku right in front of her.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_Q6NXXGMO5XNSMJ64NIHYHFP56A Vince

    Too.. Many.. Xehanorts.. At once~!

    • http://www.facebook.com/Zekushion Dylan Anantha

Ansem, Xemnas, Xehanort and Terra-Xehanort, and maybe Riku-Ansem! We need more Norts!

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_Q6NXXGMO5XNSMJ64NIHYHFP56A Vince

And I did not knew Sora and Riku might have to face off against all Xehanorts this early. Then again, probably in KH3, they might fight against the one single ultimate form of Xehanort.. Or something.

    • theworldofnoboundries

This makes me remember of one discusion with my friends about Fairy Tail being GERARD manga lol.

  • http://www.facebook.com/Zekushion Dylan Anantha

Wow, the characters in the Tron world look so ridiculous. Whats with how they animated their heads?

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_Q6NXXGMO5XNSMJ64NIHYHFP56A Vince

Seems their faces resembles the realistic 3D modeling applied to PoC characters in KH2.

    • http://twitter.com/Paradox_me Paradox me

As said, they’re based on live-action characters, and Kingdom Hearts has always remained quite faithful to the Disney franchises it uses, be it animation or live-action film (PotC).

  • http://www.facebook.com/JaeWhy SasuleUchiha

I don’t like that they put new Tron instead the old Tron in KH2, apart from that everything is awesome and this is a killer game for 3DS in my opinion.

    • Herok

they made all new worlds for this game so they couldn’t put old tron in since it was there before

  • http://twitter.com/followthereader Matt Davidson

This game looks incredible. I swear every time one of these articles hits, I get more and more excited. It’s all I ever seem to say. But it’s TRUE.

    This. Game. Looks. Incredible.

  • theworldofnoboundries

    NORIOOOOOO!!!!

  • http://twitter.com/willofsilver Silver Lion

Dammit this game looks like going to be the awesomest game ever! I wish i have a 3DS…

    • theworldofnoboundries

If u are staying on U.S, i believe GameSpot is selling them for 149.99 now isn’t it?

      • Herok

wait a website is selling 3ds now? you might want to switch that T and P in Gamespot

        • theworldofnoboundries

lol sory sory gameStop is the one selling the one selling the 3DS lol.

  • theworldofnoboundries

Seeing how Sora is sitting on the top of Organization 13 thrones, does this mean Sora will be the new leader of the organization? Man this is one new twist.

And also can anyone tell me who is that beside Xehanort on 00:19? Is that a new character? or i just forget someone important here.

    • http://www.facebook.com/clifford.michael Clifford Michael

Well Sora isn’t at the top actually. It looks like his throne is at the bottom from the height of it.

And that character next to ‘Xehanort’ is….KH:BBS SPOILER ALERT!

      Vanitas unmasked.

      SPOLIER DONE.

      • papuruka

        NOOO, NOT THE DREADED SPOLIER!!

    • Herok

At 0:19 the person next to Xehanort is Vanitas from BBS, who was one of the main antagonists of the game, so basically you forgot someone really important.

      • theworldofnoboundries

Haha, i am been quite occupied with a lot of number of game now which makes my memory kinda gaga atm.

Playing too much Rhythm Heaven Fever makes my brain only accept… dum dum dum ARGH!!!!!!

  • XypherCode

best KH3D trailer yet especially the ending part :D good to see aqua and terra on the scene :))

  • KyoyaHibari

Hmm, I’m intrigued by the monster creation/fusion system, looks pretty cool.

  • RaikageV

Do I have to know something about the previous games in order to understand the story in this one?

    • http://twitter.com/willofsilver Silver Lion

Yes, you’d miss a lot, in fact go play all of them NOW!

    • Evan Groman

The story is ridiculously complex but you can start in the middle, it doesn’t make that much of a difference.
Maybe get a different one and play it until that one comes out, if you have a PS2 then obviously KH1 and KH2 are the way to go. Assuming you have a DS (if you’re intending to get this…) they have a game called “358/2 Days,” you can try that one to see if you like the gameplay of the series.

I’m gonna tell you a secret, though. NO ONE actually gets the story. I mean, most people have a vague idea of what’s going on, but the games are years apart and people that aren’t obsessed with the series constantly fail to remember important plot details and have to look them up. So it’s fine, really, you’ll fit right in. No one knows what the hell is going on.

      • MakoSoldier7

I started playing at 1, many many years ago. is it strange that i think everything is really simple and easy to follow?

        • Evan Groman

No, it’s not. But it still doesn’t change the fact that the story is unnecessarily complicated and Sora had three hearts inside of him at one point and it’s just stuff that most players aren’t keeping up with, if we’re being totally honest.
Again, I think it’s only the really hardcore fans that go through the effort of keeping up with everything, and there’s no point to tell every new fan that he has to do it. He really doesn’t.

    • http://twitter.com/AnthonyFoster5 Anthony Foster

Even if you play the previous ones the story still won’t make any sense :p

    • James Beatty

I started on KH 2 then i played chain of memories then i played kh1 and i enjoyed every minute of it. KH 2 is the best in the series so that’s a good start.

  • http://twitter.com/FaithlessMr Bruno Silva

Game of the year 2012? Game of the year 2012 :3

Too early you say? You can’t reason with fanboys, so yeah :P Nah, in all seriousness, this looks promising and nothing short of amazing. I can’t wait, this is a great year for jrpg fanatics!

    • theworldofnoboundries

YUP i support this game for GAME of THe Year 2012!!!!

GOGOGO. and don’t forget bravely default is also coming.

    • AnimeRemix

If TWEWY gets a sequel, then KH:DDD would have a serious opponent to beat when it comes to Game of the Year 2012. =3

      • Evan Groman

        Oh, let’s be realistic here.
We’re dealing with Square Enix here.
A sequel wouldn’t make it to 2012. If they were to announce it tomorrow, that would leave it’s approximate release date at 2069.

        • AnimeRemix

Already know that…but yeah. I wasn’t trying to really say that if one gets announced, it’ll automatically come out this year… Just think of my statement as a “What if…” kind of statement.

          • Evan Groman

Oh, I’m aware, I was just kidding.
Sarcasm doesn’t go down well through text, haha.

          • AnimeRemix

Oh, sorry about that then. >T

Sora isn’t on the Org. chairs. He’s in Castle Oblivion.

  • Evan Groman

is it wrong that im not excited for it at all?
I mean, I want to be, I really do. But I’m just not.
Probably too many games that aren’t that different and don’t seem worth getting. I think I’ll just end up watching the cutscenes online and skipping this one.

    KH3, come here already D:

    • http://twitter.com/Paradox_me Paradox me

Skipping Kingdom Hearts 3D and begging for Kingdom Hearts III just doesn’t make sense to me.

This, like Birth by Sleep before it, is a full fledged Kingdom Hearts game. It’s advancing the story, features gameplay that’s on par (better in some ways) with the first two games in the series, etc. This might as well be called Kingdom Hearts IV (or III, since BbS is like ‘Kingdom Hearts 0′).

What are people expecting from Kingdom Hearts III that Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance are apparently missing?

      • Evan Groman

I don’t recall claiming it wasn’t a full fledged Kingdom Hearts game.
I’ll also add that I was much more excited for Birth by Sleep than I was
for this, probably because of the new characters that looked
fantastically amazing at the time in comparison to Sora with a new shirt
that I really couldn’t care less for at this point.

It’s just a game that, as I said, does not seem that different and
doesn’t seem like it has anything to warrant playing through it. It
seems to have enough to warrant watching the cutscenes online, as I said, since it will advance the story.

Anyway, as for what they’re missing — for starters, they’re not actual
console games. This is not something I like to complain about, but it’s
also not something you can so blatantly ignore. Console games have
higher quality graphics, are generally longer and bigger, and they FEEL
more serious. And that is a stupid argument, I admit. “Feel more
serious.” What’s that crap? But it’s true, they really do. I think a lot
of people would agree that when you’re playing 358/2 Days you’re not
really caring about it as much as you did for KH2. But I digress, 358/2
Days was missing a lot of elements from the series regardless, so we’ll
        ignore it.

What they’re missing is also the genuine next point in the plot. Yes,
they advance the story, yes, they add more. But it feels like a bunch
more side stories and I want to know what happens in the main story
already. It can be argued that KH3D is of higher importance than most
spin-offs plot-wise because it takes place after KH2, but I still think
that you can’t really deny the importance and epicness of an actual KH3
that would no doubt overshadow these specs-of-plot-dust in the same way
that KH2 overshadowed Chain of Memories.

I want a game that involves more Final Fantasy characters, more stories
in Disney worlds. Quasimodo being here is nice, and more of Pinocchio is
definitely cool. I’m not denying those two. But Tron and the Musketeers
I really don’t care for. These are things that are being provided to us
to a certain extent, but they’re certainly not as big of a KH1>KH2
giant step to new worlds. KH2 was filled with worlds that we hadn’t
experienced before, and KH3 will be, too.

I want something of the scale of epicness of Cloud and Squall fighting
off Nobodies in the huge war, and nothing of the sort has been
happening. Yes, we got Zack, and YES, I am endlessly thankful. But FF
characters are really not emphasized in the side games (I’m pretty sure
Zack was the only new one, or am I wrong? TWEWY is cool, too, and I’m
happy those are in, but they’re not as personally appealing to me as
FF’s characters) and in most of them, new worlds aren’t, either. This
one does have new worlds, I’m not denying that. And maybe it’s a
personal issue that I find the worlds to be boring and I’m not
interested in them, but it’s a contributing factor. KH3 (again, if it’s
anything like the transition from 1 and 2) is bound to have such a major
catalog of new worlds that there’ll be plenty to be happy over.

Anyway, I’m going to stop ranting because I have this feeling that
you’ll reply debating the points, because they’re really not that strong
anyway. The major point here is that I think a lot of the fans have the
sort of “This is sort of cool, but isn’t exactly what we’re waiting
for” feeling with these games and maybe it’s because the expectations
for KH3 are too high and none of these games seem to fulfill the
        imaginary expectations.

The point remains, though, that regardless of whether or not I can
logically explain and prove it, I am still feeling a lot less motivated
to buy this game. I’ve been feeling less and less motivated for every
release since KH2, starting with BBS and Days that I accepted with warm
hugs and kisses, but after playing them, it was just not the same
experience to me. BBS was arguably the closest we’ve had to a main
series one, and it did have a really close experience to it, but I just
personally didn’t enjoy it as much, I don’t know why. I just didn’t, and
that’s not a very legitimate argument point, but it is a fact and
there’s something to be said about player’s reactions.

        • finalheart9323

I have to agree about everything you said especially the part about console gaming. It’s been way to long kingdom hearts on Ps3 needs to happen. I like the story but i’m not going to be buying every handheld for it.

          • James Beatty

It sounds like you don’t care about this game because it’s on a console you don’t have. I bought a PSP for only one game (bbs) and it was kind of worth it. The 3DS isn’t only going to have KH you know. You should consider getting the console eventually. The wiiu/ps3 KH game won’t come for a while, at least not until Versus 13 comes out

          • Evan Groman

I actually really want the 3DS for Ocarina of Time and possibly more (Pokemon sixth gen?) I’m not sure yet. I’ll get it at one point. I know your comment wasn’t directed at me, but yeah.

Did you buy any other games for your PSP? There’s a /lot/ that a BBS fan would find absolutely great for the system.

          • finalheart9323

Sorry i will never buy something for one game i have a family and bills. What i’m saying is that it is the 10th anniversary of KH which was on the ps2 and all they are talking about is the 3ds. At least show the company that you got your start on some love. I plan to get 3ds when WAY more games are out.

I will say the year is not over so hopefully we get something

  • neetyneety

Aww, looks like they replaced the Gummi Ship levels with some weird flying sequences… I loved customizing those things. D:

  • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

Cool trailer. Seems like this will be the ultimate KH game for a while, until number 3 comes in 2015… though I’m wondering about that red-eyed heartless hooded character…

  • Yesshua

Sigh.  I’ve tried hard to keep up with this franchise.  They aren’t the most finely crafted games in the world, but they’re a great guilty pleasure kind of experience.

It’s clear that this game really does have significant story content for the franchise.  It moves things forward, brings most (all?) of the dead characters back to life… (and really, did we ever expect anyone in this universe to stay dead?)

I refuse to buy a PSP for only one video game.  Birth By Sleep is available ONLY as a PSP UMD disc.  It isn’t even available as a Vita download.  I want to buy a Vita to play the PSP library because that’s a really good deal from a consumer perspective.  It’s like getting three console libraries in one! (Vita, PSP, PS1)

But I want to get the hole(s) in this story filled in ever so much :(

    • papuruka

Just watch a Youtube playthrough of BBS or something. That’s how I kept up.

  • papuruka

Oh boy, Soranort here we come.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_Q6NXXGMO5XNSMJ64NIHYHFP56A Vince

Yep. Logical since there’s ‘Norts running around in this game. Not much surprise if there Soras in it as well.

      • papuruka

All the hearts in Sora can be considered Soras. if you think about it :P

  • Go2hell66

now how long will we have to wait for a localisation T_T

    • Andres Tapia

Well…… Amazon has it listed for December 2012…. And it makes sense. When it came to BBS on the PSP we waited 8 months for the game to arrive here. And 3D is coming out next month for Japan, so we wont get until the end of the year….

      • KHSoraKeyBlade

A few English voice actors have already announced they are working on the game unlike BbS when they started coming out saying they were working on it 2 months after the game was released in Japan. I don’t see us waiting 8 months for this game to be released. The 10th Anniversary for America is in September and in November for Europe (though that was because of us Europeans always getting stuff late >.>), I suspect we will get the game around August/September… even if I want it before then :/

    • http://twitter.com/followthereader Matt Davidson

December 2012 is just a placeholder – SE have announced that 3D will be released internationally sometime in 2012, so they just stick the latest date possible to be safe.

Jesse David Corti’s recording Neku as we speak, so the voice recording at least appears to be rattling along. I’m hoping for a summer release :D

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=177803164 Stewart Mogg

Did anyone else notice not only Neku in the trailer, but Shiki from TWEWY as well?

When KH3 comes out I hope it has a clear and extensive catch up at the beginning, because with all these games on other systems I have no idea what’s going on any more. I was confused enough at the start of KH2 as it was a sequel to a game that came out on DS rather that the PS original. Now with all of these extra games, and each character seems to be 3 different people, I haven’t got a clue. If anyone knows of a website that has an up to date explanation of the time line I’d be grateful!

  • EDGEucator

    Sorcerer Mickey.
    Enough said.

  • s07195

Should I start playing this series from BBS? I’ve been paying attention to KH for quite a while now, but have never played one before…

It seems that there will be a LOT of plot points in this game here.
(BTW Did I see Ricardo from Tales of Innocence in that trailer somewhere, or is it just my sleep-deprived mind mixing things up again?)

    • http://www.cubiz.co.cc/ Chris Thomas

BBS is a good place to start I think they do mention Sora but I don’t think it’s major.

      • papuruka

Unless he gets to the secret ending for BBS.

    • pothier.adrien

If you’re willing to invest the necessary time and money, you should start with KH1, followed by KH2 and then BbS.

      But it’s just my opinion.

      • caleb1993

The thought of how much money some people pay for the first Kingdom Hearts makes me so glad that I still have my copy.

    • Evan Groman

I believe that who you saw was a character called Xigbar (he is the most similar to Ricardo in appearance, but I’m not even sure if he’s in this trailer)

Anyway, it’s completely okay to start playing at BBS because BBS’s plot isn’t dependent on any other game in the series. It’s a prequel and all that jazz. Then KH1 and KH2 are the main pillars for understanding the plot.

You might want to play them in teh right order (KH1>2>BBS) but if you feel more comfortable with starting with BBS it really is completely fine, you’ll get everything. Well, it might be a bit harder for you to get it than most people, but the general ideas are grasped really fast.

Here’s a quick superinfothing — people use weapons called Keyblades, they’re fancy and also stuff. some people are masters of keyblades and the three characters in BBS are trying to earn their mark of mastery test.

disney worlds are a thing that you’re going to interact with. don’t worry.

aaaaand actually that’s about it. I genuinely don’t know how one could possibly get lost in BBS. It doesn’t expect you to know anything. It really doesn’t. It’s fine, just go for it.

  • http://twitter.com/Laith_Rem Laith Rem

“What I’m curious about is the end scene. Did you notice Sora were all of
the Organization XIII members suddenly reappear and Sora is sitting on
one of those extremely high thrones.”

Wrong. Sora is sleeping in the same chair that Ventus was at the end of BBS not at one of the thrones. The thrones are smaller compared to it.

I am curious about Mickey mentioning Aqua, tho. There’s also more Namine, you can’t go wrong with more Namine

Oh hey didn’t notice that. Still not the same scene Spencer meant… I think.

        • MizuMikomi

Definitely not the scene he meant, since catching that part is hard if you are focusing on everything else.

          But the same throne? Yes.

Damn you kingdom Hearts, you’re going to make my wallet cry T_T

  • Raiu

Just when I though I’ll starting get the story by finishing a KH game, now that this trailer comes out and screwed my plot senses.. I’m having a hard time linking the pieces all together… They are getting good at this, I admit that…

Since Sora and Riku looks younger than KH2 appearances, how the hell does this game taking place after KH2? Unless it’s in some sort of an alternative universe, what happened to the timeline???

Axel is alive and is his true self? I remember his nobody is gone but what about his heartless?

Sora will meet Xion by the looks in this trailer…

So confused and so many questions… (scratches head…)

    • MakoSoldier7

they are not actually younger, they are taking their mark of mastery exam, in the world of dreams, and  their appearances change to that of their younger selves. But the point of this game (as stated in the secret BBS video) is that sora is on a journey to free the hearts of the ones still in suffering (terra, ven, aqua, axel, roxas, namine, xion) so thats why you see all those characters in this trailer. How those meetings are going to be arranged, we will have to see in the game. As for axel, yes his nobody is gone, which would mean his heartless would have to be slain before he could be reborn, so that would have to happen in this game i guess.

i dont think its all that confusing, makes sense to me.

      • Raiu

If you put it that way, it makes sense for now… that is until I finished watching the game in youtube… also there is PSVita’s KH0.5 whatever that is left to forward to before KH3…
Not buying 3DS because of *cough*Region Lock*cough* and I heard that Nintendo is readying a 3DS revision or ‘slim’ version…

    • Prinnydoom

Um its in the title DREAM. There in a dream taking the mark of mastery thats why they look younger. And technically it takes place after coded. As for what the hell is going on i am lost too >_<

  • Enma_Kozato

I’m pretty sure after using Simple & Clean and Sanctuary (granted the second one was used like… twice) as main theme songs for six games we need a new one.

    • http://twitter.com/GameGodZER0 Ben Sylvia

They’ve both been used at least 3 times.
And they’re saving the new song for KH3.

      • Enma_Kozato

Simple & Clean: Kingdom Hearts 1, Chain of Memories, 358/2 Days, Birth By Sleep, Re:Coded.
Sanctuary: Kingdom Hearts 2, Re:Chain of Memories.

You do realize they’ve been “saving” a new song for 6 years now, right? The transition between 1 and 2 is understandable (CoM I chalked it to nostalgia fuel) but not for the games after them.

        • http://twitter.com/GameGodZER0 Ben Sylvia

I just assume they just want to have a new song for the numbered games, and just use the previous ones for the interlude games.

          • Enma_Kozato

So shouldn’t Birth By Sleep have a new song considering it’s a prequel, not an interlude? xy

          • http://twitter.com/Crevox Crevox

Simply due to their issues with Hikaru Utada. She said Disney doesn’t pay enough.

Unfortunately, Utada Hikaru decided a few years ago that she wouldn’t sing any new songs for KH due to Disney being cheap bastards and not paying her enough. Hopefully by the time Kingdom Hearts III begins development, Disney will beg her to change her mind.

      • Enma_Kozato

Why not just get a new singer? Does Disney really have to be so hung up over Utada like an ex in denial?

        • doctorpope181

Because some people don’t like change :3
If she started the series singing then she damn well better end it with a badass song.
It’s already bad enough that all these brilliant voice actors keep either dying or not doing KH anymore i.e. Wayne Allwine (Mickey) deceased; Eddie Carroll (Jiminy) deceased; Christopher Lee (Ansem the Wise) hasn’t been with KH since Days; Billy Zane (Ansem, Seeker of Darkness) only voiced in the first game but sounded waaay better than Richard Epcar. The list goes on ..
What if Haley quit voicing Sora and they replaced him with JUSTIN BEIBER??!
          Exactly.

          • Enma_Kozato

I like how you assume I have a problem with the Beibz. Now that his voice has changed, I have no problem with that.

      • KHSoraKeyBlade

It has nothing to do with Disney, she’s on hiatus because she hasn’t had a break since her career started. Personally I don’t like the idea of another singer jumping into the her shoes just so we can hear a new song over the intro >.>

Ohhh no, my mind can’t take more of this mindfuck…

Will KH have a coherent ending, or one day we will be able to understand it?

No spoilers in your title siliconera, please ?

    • http://twitter.com/Crevox Crevox

      I wouldn’t call it a spoiler if it’s in a trailer.

  • Prinnydoom

GODS THIS IS TORTURING MY MIND!!!!

    My 3DS NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDS this!

We have to fight Xigbar again don’t we? And that’s cheating Xehanort! Being in the Tron world without Tron style clothes!

  • finalheart9323

Isn’t it the 10th anniversary of the PS2 kingdom hearts and we get nothing i want at least a HD remake. The game looks okay i’ll just watch on youtube. I’m not going to buy a 3DS for this.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Hector-Cortes/100000351183370 Hector Cortes

Are you implying that the 3DS is a bad investment are do you just not care for it?  Seeing as content and games wise is no excuse not to own a 3DS at this point as there a slew of great games on the system already and on the way this year as well…

      • finalheart9323

I am implying that the 10th anniversary of KH was on the ps2 the game that made KH popular and i see no love at all at least do a HD remake

Hopefully we get something this year

        • Tylor Makimoto

Kinda busy making Drop for the past year. Not much time to do another remake :P

  • Okuni-chan

Aw Maybe I missed the news somewhere but I am a bit *sadface* that Riku and Sora are AGAIN traveling separately.
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Gimme my adventure of them traveling and battling together for the whooooole game please?
Seeing as I have other games I am dying to buy and I can stretch my wallet too far I shall watch on youtube. Game looks like it would be fun but I just can’t see myself bending my wallet or pushing back other title I’m wanting for it.
Interesting ending scene is interesting (◎。◎ )

  • AoNoise

Am I the only one who kinda fears the Xehanort storyline ends with this game? It seems like every character showed in Blank Points makes an appearance…

I really want to see the “trilogy” end with an HD game in the PS3 or something…

    • http://twitter.com/bta_man BTA

They’ve confirmed that the Xehanort storyline ends with KHIII, so I wouldn’t be worried. It’s probably going to head towards that end, though…

Now, with everything they’ve covered in this game, whats gonna be left for the actual KH3?

    • MagDX

Finish this part of the saga+ raise 30585 questions that will take at least 4-7 more prequels and a lot of interviews to answer

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! GOD now its gonna be another 4 years before story progession (unless they took note of what was wrong with re:coded)

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Kevin-Miranda-Salazar/643669155 Kevin Miranda Salazar

This is like a sweet love letter from SE, all the pieces from previous games are all begining to fit! Sure I can’t figure all with the things on the trailer but eh, that’s why we’ll buy the game right? :3
For those that can’t figure what’s going on you should play the “spin-off” games, they have a lot of relevance to the story going on (Well… maybe except Re:Coded, that i’ll admit it was like playing KH 1 and CoM all over again)
Wild guess here but I think Master Xehanort is trying to revive his disciple back on Sora, if you know who Im talking about, oh that’s be one nice twist! :)

  • Elemiel

Hello there new face. Who could you be?

    • MizuMikomi

Someone we already know, I don’t remember if it was in an interview or the BbS novels, but it’s stated that someone looked like that before “something” happened.

Avoiding saying any possible spoilers, since it’s likely going to be revealed in game. Lol

    • http://www.facebook.com/diamonddeath Andrew DeCrescenzo

Is that the secret character in BBS that had the light saber like weapons?

This trailer is a major mindfuck….. but thats what makes Kingdom Hearts interesting lol. And from the look of the multiplayer Im gonna need more friend codes lol

  • caleb1993

This game keeps looking better and better. After being left slightly disappointed by Birth by Sleep, I can honestly say that Testuya Nomura and his team seem to be back on their game. I’m very excited for this.

    • http://twitter.com/bta_man BTA

You were disappointed by Birth By Sleep? Would you mind explaining why?

I’m not mad or anything, just interested- Birth By Sleep was probably my favorite entry in the series so far, so I’d like to hear your take on it.

      • http://twitter.com/Crevox Crevox

I didn’t like it much either. The combat is completely cheesy, and the battle system is just wonky. Going into any of the command stances is a bad idea, especially in boss fights; you want to avoid them. Certain commands or setups (like Megaflare) completely cheese everything, and it’s just boring. You can go with no commands, and it’s actually a good idea sometimes to do so, but then you’re ignoring the majority of the battle system.

Any “difficult” boss relies on you spamming roll because it’s so OP in BBS. You roll around invincible until you have a chance to strike, use it, and then roll around some more. It’s a smoke and mirror type of difficulty that did not exist in KH1/2 days, and it’s just silly.

What is most disappointing is that they seem to be sticking with the command deck system. The abilities were kinda cool, but either ended up OP or just horrible. They might be able to balance out better, shrug, but BBS was a “play once and done” game for me.

        • Evan Groman

           Cheesy and wonky.

          I getya.

           KH2 had a cheesy style.

Two words – Sam Flynn. I hope that Garrett will be his voice actor, I really do~!

The game look awesome so far, but where are FF characters?

Could someone please explain to me why they are using the Sora from KH1 when this game takes place after KH2. The Sora model from KH2 is far better than the one in KH1 for me. I haven’t been able to find an answer for this at all yet and it’s very confusing!

    • Solomon_Kano

If I recall, this game partially takes place within dreams. Dreams of the past I’d guess, seeing as we see KH2 Sora in the trailer but we also see KH1 Sora in-game. So I’d imagine that we’ll alternately play as his KH1 and 2 forms. Otherwise, we’ll be KH1 Sora for the duration of the Mark of Mastery exam (which is what the dreams are for).

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Caleb-J-Estrada/100001792189784 Caleb J Estrada

That really helps, I just hope that’s the real deal when you say dreams of the past.

        • Solomon_Kano

I’m pretty sure that’s what it was, but I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
