Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 takes place in Gamindustri where consoles goddess fight for market share. The world share map shows how each nation fares and right now it looks about even aside from the evil Arfoire at 0%.

 

Completing quests is one way shares change hands from one nation to the next. Why does this matter? The story branches depending on which nation is in control and if you want to get other console goddess like Vert, Blanc, or Noire on your team you need to raise their shares above a certain level.
