Conception: Please Deliver My Child!! has a wacky plot where you’re just about to graduate high school and you’re suddenly summoned to another world. You are their savior, but before you can banish evil you have to… make babies.

 

See, when you procreate with Star Maidens you create Star Children. These aren’t ordinary RPG kids that you leave at home, Star Children are party members and they follow you in battle by the dozen.

    Aside from gal gun this has got to be the most ridiculous idea for an game I have ever seen. Might get it. There is no way in hell this is getting localised and if i does i will eat my left knee. Don’t know why i just will.

    it’s like a disgusting plot, but if you don’t take it seriously it’s rather funny
    it’s like promoting teenage sex… well considering how Japaneses are acting nowadays i wouldn’t be surprised

        Yup… Almost like the world is going to end and you’ll need to make your way to a hospital before everything gets catastrophically destroyed in a succession of dark lightning blast that will shatter the world away and invert it on itself into a cocoon filled with demons…

           Meh, the store cleric already thinks I’m a freak for buying all those ”childish” anime based games, so the name won’t do much damage. They can even make a ”Who’s your daddy? Limited Edition” and it still wouldn’t pose a problem. As long as it gets localized. ;)

    Considering this game comes from the same guys who made GachiTora, the concepts do not surprised me in the least. The cutscene interfaces even look similar.

    Uuuuugh why suit-lady whyyy your design was so hot and then you go and add something so cliched as “Thinks love is a ridiculous concept”. Almost always, ALWAYS when that tired old trope is played it goes a little something like:
    Mirei- Fah! I am mighty intelligent and intellectual person who reads lots of books and is very smart! I disbelieve you people and your foolish hu-man emotions!
    Protagonist- I’m just gonna be sorta nice to you now.
    Mirei- SHOW ME MORE OF THIS WONDERFUL THING CALLED LOVE YOU AMAZING HUNK OF A MAN I HAVE NOTHING ELSE THAT’S WORTH LIVING FOR EXCEPT YOU.

    Cynical and exaggarated perhaps, but I have yet to see this concept played with anything approaching subtlety. It can’t ever just be that she’s an intellectual who just LIKES to read and study in her spare time and romance isn’t in her plans, but if it happens she will react with the thoughtfulness one could expect from someone who is sensible, intelligent and well-read. Nope, it’s almost gosh darn always like she’s some kind of robot who is only awakening to her hu-man emotions due to the arrival of Hiro Protagonist McJesuson. (He’s Scottish-Japanese, long story). Sue all the way, mang.

        On the one hand, you are kind of right- some stories shouldn’t have great deptsh expected from them.

        On the other hand- dating sims HAVE had actually well written characters in them before. And I like having high standards and not being annoyed by the the characters I’m supposed to interact with and sympathize with in games.

        Final nitpick- I don’t know if you may already know this, but they are not actually flesh and blood babies- they are more like golems you create from the protagonists and the maidens magical energies or something along those lines.

        I actually think it should be a requirement for dating sims to have character development and in-depth, layered characters. That some don’t is a short-coming of those titles (and as a whole if the genre doesn’t, that just speaks a lot of the genre itself).

        Having RPG elements and making babies shouldn’t take away from having developed characters. But in the end, you still have a point, which makes me sad. ^u^;

      I agree entirely. And sadly, it feels like it’s going to be tropes and archetypes out the wazoo without bothering to avert and/or subvert them at all. Which is a shame. But if they do prove me wrong, I would be so happy with this game.

    For some reason I want this game more than ever now! Also the music in this trailer was amazing. I hope this gets localized so I can make lots of virtual children to fight with me lol.

      It’s a dating sim and an RPG with an interesting premise and concept and something completely out there.

      Of course you’d want it. Of course I’d want it too.

      But looking at it… I have a feeling there’s a very low chance it’ll get localized.

        Yup, it’s definitely the cousin, who may be pregnant with the protagonist’s kid. In fact, that’s how I’m interpreting it until Spike says otherwise. Sort of weird that she would tell her male cousin such information if he wasn’t the father (and cousin can get married in Japan so it’s not outside the realm of impossibilities).

      Hah, I was thinking the same. Especially for someone who seems to be quite older and mature than almost half of the others. No tsundere, please. 
      Giving these characters some depth would be great.

    This ridiculous, stupid and bizarre premise is… still one of the best ideas for a game I’ve heard in a long time. lol~

    I just hope the gameplay and design itself aren’t just your regular run-out-of-the-mill jrpg and keep up with the premise. To brind Star Children to battle does sounds nice, but it’s still not quite “there”. xP

      Not that strange. I mean we’ve already got enslavement of animals by enforcing animal cruelty by forcing a captured creature to pummel to either near death or complete death another creature and then capturing them in a small high tech cage no bigger the the palm of your hand.

      So I’d see completing a romance with twelve maidens, getting em pregnant and raising the kids thereafter to be great warriors as… actually not that bad.

      I’d like to have that life.

    The children have cute designs too. I don’t really care for the dating sim nature of this game (as appealing as some of the ladies are), but the battle system looks fun and the children look like they’d be cute and fun to battle alongside with. It’s like a RPG version of Harvest Moon to the max.

    Also, I’m hoping a Conception O (for Otome!) version will come out one day. I don’t know why I feel like it could parallel Persona in that way (P3P, speaking), but it’d be so much to play a girl’s route for this.

    I am going to keep posting this link until it gets officially mentioned here/unshadowed.  But there is no sex/pregnancy.  Romancin’ is for baby stat boostin’.  It has a wacky plot and still probably won’t come to America, but it’s not near as bad as people make it sound.

    THEY’RE SO CUTE. HOLY CRAP THE KIDS ARE CUTE. The ones with the fox tails, are they Sue’s kids? Oh jeez, I kinda want to buy this game. I’d have a hell of a time explaining that one to my friends if they saw me playing it though XDD

    I don’t know if I like this game or not. It’s silly and stuff, the babies are cute, and some of the girls look interesting, but on the other hand, I can’t quite get behind how almost fetish-like the game makes pregnancy and giving birth. Yeah I know I know, the babies come out of doll things, but the idea of birthing kids seems to be the central selling point. Not romancing the ladies, just getting them to “pop out babies” and that just doesn’t rub me the right way, be it just through dolls and magical energies.

      My feelings exactly. In general, I kind of like the concept (and a guys and gals version would be great, even though the devs probably won’t even think to consider the latter), and the designs for the kids and settings are really nice. 

      Buuut. There are some weird or problematic feeling parts. It reminds me of Senran Kagura in that way. It’s not just the actual game that’s the problem, but what the central selling point is and how they’re presenting it to you (although I think that game went beyond just that problem a bit).

      If they weren’t selling this to us the way they were, I’d probably have liked it very much so from the start. But it is from the same people who made Gachitora, and that had the same kind of feel to it too at times.
