Famitsu has more information about Etrian Odyssey IV and F.O.E.s are even more dangerous than before because they will attack you outside of dungeons. Players travel through the world in a hot air balloon and you can encounter F.O.E.s when flying it. Better plan out your party before stepping on the world map, right?
The Swordman class has attacks like Link Flame (adds fire attribute), Double Strike (two attacks in a row), and Vanguard (defense down/attack up for a number of turns). Medics can restore HP with skills like Healing and After Battle Treatment which automatically restores HP after a battle ends. Fortress is a defense job equipped with Provoke (draw enemies), Line Divide (protect a row), and Revenge Smite (damage boost for a number of turns).
Etrian Odyssey IV has two kinds of dungeons to explore – large dungeons which lords send you to explore and small dungeons with previous items. Etrian Odyssey IV comes out on July 5 for Nintendo 3DS.
