By Spencer . May 1, 2012 . 2:02am

CyberFront will release DJ Max Technika Tune from Neowiz Mobile (formally Pentavision) in Japan. The PlayStation Vita game will be released as a standalone Vita game for 6,090 yen ($76) and in a limited edition bundle for 8,190 yen ($102). Items in the limited edition have not been announced. Instead of tapping to the beat, players will press, slide, and hold notes as a rhythm bar sweeps from left to right.

DJ Max Technika Tune will also be available in South Korea and North America this summer too.

As long as it has all (if not most) of the songs from the arcade ver., then I’m all up for it. What I’ve seen from the video already looks promising though.

I wonder how you actually play though…

You tap the orbs as the line passes over. Think lumines except faster and the orbs come one after the other.

Well, I know that, I mean, I have played the arcade ver. (we got a Technika 2 here). What I’m wondering is how it’ll translate to that itty-bitty screen of the Vita: do you use the front or the back touch screen? Both? Make gestures instead of direct taps? Y’know, stuff like that.

So far, this has been the only trailer released and I’m really itching to see some footage on how it’s played.

  • I can’t wait for this game, but the fact that I’m going to have to cut my nails is a pain to think about :(
