Record of Agarest War 2’s package includes a 8 x 12 hand towel com pressed in the shape of a heart, "Heroic Trials from the Lands of Agarest" art book, and an inflatable Felenne Doll. This is the exact same package Amazon revealed a couple of weeks ago.

  • Sometimes, you just gotta hate mosaic…

  • I thought the joke was its a blow up doll for an 8-bit character. Seems I was mistaken.

  • Will settle for the regular edition. :P Can’t wait to play this.

  • …….Me an’ da boyz don’t got no clue as ta wot a ‘Blowup doll’ iz, does it go boom?

  • This gotta be good!!!

  • CirnoLakes

    Rated T for Teen.

  • E15

I’ll pay the extra $’s for the artbook.

  •  Hope the Ghostight CE has the artbook too! I can’t resist artbooks.

Not sure what I’d do with an inflatable figure though, apart from maybe try to hang it from the ceiling like a decoration. Probably nothing at all. :)

    • All ghostlight need to provide is an artbook and even more 3D art cards.

  • How adorably tame.

    • Okay:

      1)  Absolutely love your avatar, Valkyrie Profile is the best game ever made.  Arngrim is usually my choice in username and avatars.

      2)  Very apt response.

  • Luna Kazemaru

    T rating wut?

  • XYZ_JolteonZ980

Guess I will stick with the standard edition. Would have got it for the soundtrack.

    • raymk

Afraid to walk in the store to pick it up huh?

  • So how is this series?  When I get the system I’m tempted to play these games. Oh but looks like I may have to import the PS3 version of the first game…

    • Darkrise

Depends if you’re up for a lot of grinding and turn-based gameplay. Gameplay is flawed in the 1st game but the 2nd by far is the best. Also, the first game is localized already but it’s psn download only.

      •  Oh that is where the first game is in the US.  I’m good with grinding and turn based.

        •  There are 2 Agarest Wars on the xbox in physical form.  I know Record of Agarest War 1 is download only on the ps3, not sure if Zero released on the ps3, but it has a physical copy on the xbox.  Part 2 is a continuation of part 1, Zero was kind of an offshoot that kinda sucked because it took out fun components of part 1 and made the game tedious.

Agarest War part 2 is ps3 only oddly enough.

The games in a nut shell are overhead maps with dots corresponding to fight points and towns.  You enter towns, you don’t explore, but get a list of stores and other places to go.  You get into strategy based fights where your characters can combine powers to do super moves, and there are literal tons of super moves.  Even character specific moves can be combined to do ultra super moves.  It has a deep gear making system, and has a title seeking store where you fulfill certain objectives, like killing 3 different types of monsters, beating super bosses at the end of the game, winning so many battles, doing so much damage, and so on.  The titles aren’t titles for your characters but instead get you items from completing that objective.

You can overkill monsters for extra loot, which is hard to do on some bosses unless you grind and get over leveled, or do a new game +.

        •  Am I the only one that has a problem with the game lack of terrain variation? Every battlefield you go is flat.

  • Darkrise

I was thinking the blow-up doll would be like 5 feet tall  or something… Thank god it’s not.

  • AzureNova

    Already pre-ordered =P

  • When I first heard “inflatable doll” a few weeks ago, I thought it was gonna be huge like Dakimura sized. Dunno if that was just fancy wording or my mind in the gutter.

  • IshimaruKaito

is this pack is coming to america?

    • Dude, do you think that this is for Japan ?

I just hope Ghostlight makes a quite good offer as well. Sometimes it sucks to be European.

  • I’m far more concerned that they will censor the hell out of this game here in NA.  Our practices as far as video-games are so bass-ackwards here.  This limited edition is indeed adorably tame as one user noted below, however it is still nice for the hand-towel and artbook.  I’ve pre-ordered two copies myself.

But again, I’m expecting some heavy “editing” (read censorship) to occur in the final CG available through the game itself.  But hey, the extreme violence in Manhunt and virtually ANY FPS is perfectly fine in the U.S.  Yup, no boobies, but we love our headshots which are horrificly gory!  America, F*** Yeah, off to save the mother f***in’ day Yeah!

Don’t misunderstand, I love my country, but this kind of stuff really irks me.

    • Raharu95

I dom’t think Akysd did that with the other two records of agarest war. You might be talking about a localization team version of 4kids. Companies like Nippon Ichi and Akyss may make cobers a little more confortable (or badass) for common buyers, but the original artwork is almost always in the game and artbook. Correct me if I’m wrong.

  • raymk

I don’t want the blow-up doll but i’ll take the artbook so i’ll buy the LE if I must.

  • Testsubject909

    Well, that inflatable doll blows…

Sorry. I came in here after having passed by one of those Persona 4 Golden news. So I still have a bit of those unbearable puns in me.

  • Xerain

I have to pass on this because I need to save up $500 by the end og August. Also I don’t own a MOVE and didn’t finish the other two yet.
